Knowing the Best Conditions and appropriate time for Transplanting Sorghum.

Hello Hive

It is almost a week now that we have transplanted some of our Sorghum in the farm. And like I said earlier you have to pay attention to certain conditions before transplanting Sorghum.

One of the basic or important things to take note of while planting Sorghum is that transplanting must be done in a good weather conditions most possible after a rainfall or we must be sure that there would be some downpour on the transplanted seedlings. It is always advisable to do the transplanting after a downpour because most times we are not often sure of rainfall and transplanting.

This very one was transplanted right after rainfall and I had to check on them to make sure that no one was dying

Most times after transplanting any crops, that will have the drawback in growth where they will need to acclimatize to the new environment before the grow new leaves and become green again. But when conditions are not favorable and there is no rainfall, the crops won't recover.

Whenever a new land is cultivated it is not often advisable to transplant crops in them immediately was the reason we allow this to rest for a few days, prior to when we worked on this. The field is often allowed to rest after the cultivation so that the temperature of the soil can be regulated and the weeds that were turned over are meant to start decaying.

Once the temperature of the soil is regulated and the weather conditions are right, it becomes easy for our crops to settle in well in the new environment and so far our Sorghum is doing well. The rainfall pattern has been very favorable this year. And on days where there is no rainfall the weather is often cold enough to keep the temperature cool.

The sun has been kept hiding for such a long time now that I hardly remember when last I had felt the heat from the sun. All the crops we have planted and transplanted so far have been thriving real good and we are grateful for that.
