Happy new day to us all. I hope that we are all making progress in one way or the other.
Our corn plants are already showing signs of maturing and this is good because we will soon harvest and have them eating up. As many people are already craving for corns as it is out of season.

Like I said earlier the corn often grown in this season is usually for consumption when they are fresh.
The ones we grow in abundance during the raining seasons are the ones that we have dried and have blended some to powder for corn flour. I know that many people in the other parts of the world are used to eating Semovita which is the commonest starch or carbohydrates food. For us here we use a variety of things to make flour that can be cooked just like Semovita. One can use either corn, cassava, Sorghum or millet to achieve thesame results, only that they contain different classes of nutrient together with the carbohydrate base.

Once your corn starts maturing, corn cob becomes harder and also the silk at the top of the just begins to dry up also

If you desire to eat your corn fresh, that is the best time to harvest it. If it goes beyond such timing the 🌽 can become very hard and not eatable fresh. It is a good habit to observe corns and even keep record of the timing for the planting in order to be sure if when to harvest them. And is one is totally unsure you can also open up the corn just to be sure wether they are ready for harvest or not.

In a week or two, we would be ready to harvest these as they all look strong and matured enough already.
