Hand weeding , Flowering beans , Proper care, Pod production

Hello Hive

Our beans is now at flowering stage and and I'm wondering about when did we plant this crops that it is now at this stage. The first time I blogged about this was exactly a month ago on the 16th of August when the beans were barely two weeks old. These have been planted in the first week of the month of August and they have spend about 6weeks now.

That 6weeks is the timing that is just enough for this beans to start producing seeds. Flowering comes with seed production. As you can see the flowers the seeds pods are also forming alongside and in few days from now they will be very much visible too.

This is the one thing I love so much about growing beans. The possibility of growing and harvesting crops for food within a exactly three month circle with no addition.

Beans is one of the easiest crops you can grow, this is the one thing I have noticed.
Ever since the planting of this beans it is now that we chose to weed the grass of the farm as it starts producing flowers. It doesn't require the need to add fertilizer or anything. Just the weeding and addition of enough soil to cover the root of the plant.

Now that it is flowering we may need to add some pest control herbicides but it depends on if there will be some disturbing pest activities this year.
Fresh green beans pods should be ready for harvest in about 2weeks from now for people that love eating the green beans with its pods. But for the dry beans we may have to wait about a month from now for both the seeds to be produced and to undergo drying.

This particular specie of beans is of so much value to us and now that we have been able to clear the grasses within and keep the farm clean, we are keeping high hope and expectation of getting quality beans from here.

Really? You mean beans is the easiest crop to grow? I need to try it out maybe next year.

I love the way you keep records of time and date of your planting season.
