A beautiful and cold morning to my farmers and gardeners onchain, I hope that we are having a good time and a good weather for growing our crops. The weather can be so funny such that as the globe exist as a sphere I might possibly be enjoying a good side of the weather while it turns it's other side to people else where.

So far so good I have joined friends through the journey of growing lettuce and I am happy to see that it is very easy and possible to grow lettuce if we keep all the conditions in check which the crop needs to grow.

A good sandy-loam soil with cool temperature and enough manure content. It takes only about 2.5month for lettuce to grow to maturity which is not too long a time to wait. The only challenges I will be encountering if I decide to plant some lettuce will be that how to get the lettuce seed/seedling for planting.

For planting this very ones, we were able to get the lettuce seedlings which my Hausa friends got from a very rare location and we have planted them using the transplantation methods of propagation..

Within such short time of growing this some of the lettuce began to grow seeds and we decided go leave it and see what the outcome of this will be

Can lettuce be planted from its seeds?
Will these really produce some seeds that can be planted another time?

The only way to find out is if we follow this process through till the end. Lettuce is one of the vegetables we do not have to boil before eating. Just harvest some freshly vegetables, wash them clean, air-dry and prepare a delicious vegetables recipe for yourself.

One important thing to check before eating lettuce is that we must avoid eating them with worms, nematodes or their eggs, this is when it can become harmful for our health. Ensure that you clean your vegetables properly through thorough washing with salt water. I often use ally of salt water to clean my vegetables. Since lettuce are eating uncooked we must be sure of their health and safety before eating them.

This lettuce specie is very good one and growing fast and spreading wide. Some specie would grow as big as this after being planted. Hence whenever you are opting for seed production for a subsequent session planting ensure that the plant you are getting the seeds from are of high quality. Quality seeds from a quality plant will give us some quality seeds in subsequent planting sessions.
