Growing Dry Season Corn

Growing this dry season corn so far has not pose any challenge for us. Sometimes I feel like it is almost not possible to grow anything in the dry seasons until these things happens to convince us.
Rather than growing just the garden eggs alone, varieties of things were all planted along side this garden eggs. The most important reasons is that it helps us to save some capital as a lot of money of money is often spent in buying the diesel to water these crops.

Dry season farming like this is very beneficial for us as it ensures that we have access to fresh vegetables all year round. Not everyone engages in these farming, only those who are fortunate to find some space close to the river bank where they can utilize the river as source of irrigation to wet the veggies.

The corn are already tasseling and backing their pods already. In less than a month they would have been producing their seeds within these pods.

The dry season corn🌽 is one that a lot of people appreciate more because corn are usually no longer in season by this time making it something special that a lot of people crave for. Usually when corns are in season you find it been sold in almost every corner of the street but when they are no longer in season only a few person have access to it for sale like the ones we have here and while alot of people crave for it, it pushes the price up a little.

The spaces for planting vegetables is here and within the week we will be planting some more vegetables. There are certain crops you cannot mix together when growing them in mixed cropping, after some years of farming experience we know what types of crops cant be planted together.
