Disappointedly Laid off Work|| How I survived this

It usually not a small disappointment when people get laid of their jobs. Their means of livelihood is instantly cut off especially if they have no other source of income. Crazy enough some persons often do not have savings prior to these kind of happening and this is how they go stranded almost instantly. You will agree with me that losing one job is one of the huge disappointment out there we won't wish to face at any point in life.

Most employers are looking out for the best out of their employees, and many of them have their reasons for laying off staff. Employees are disposable as anything, especially in countries where there is more labor compared to the number of employees available on the ground. Once an employee leaves today, he gets replaced by another without stress or delay. Counting the number of jobless graduates here, this is a very common event here.

It forces employees to put in their best in whatever jobs they are doing. Some employers give their staffs the privilege to make positive contributions to the business or enterprise, but other employers are a little mean in that they desire a worker to do their bidding at all times. Even when such a business strategy isn't ideal for the business, we often do not have a choice.

I wouldn't cherish an organization where my input is not considered important; this reduces one's productivity, and regardless of how you wish to change the status quo, such businesses will remain stagnant. Guess who gets blamed in the end? The employee of course.

An employer can set stringent rules for his business and still expect the workers to thrive and be profitable and productive in such environments regardless; that was the situation I was caught in. Having put in all my efforts, the employees style of business always contradicted my own opinions until I was laid off work.

This event actually destabilized me for a while, and we can all relate to the setback that comes with losing one's job. What would be my next move, and countless other thoughts ran through my mind.

Rather than staying down for so long, I opened to enter my commercial farming activities full-time. What seems to be a disappointment for me created the room for me to venture into what I had dreamed and envisioned for long. This is where I turned the disappointment into a huge blessing for myself. It's one thing to fall down but entirely another to choose to get up and start all over again.

I learned a couple of lessons from the experience. I learned about business management strategies from life lessons that wouldn't otherwise have been better explained in books. Business and employee management is important in everything, and what strategies we choose to run our business is really important in deciding the future of such business rather than changing staffs like clothes and creating an unfriendly environment for workers and still expecting them to be productive.
