This is how the poultry pen construction for layer birds looks like. I remember blogging about this pen some month back while it was under construction.

We got some labourers who have helped with the construction of the pen. The floor of the pen house was constructed using Cements here. And the roofing was made of zinc materials

Wire have to be constructed that will contain both the birds and the eggs they lay. This is the best method of poultry pen construction for layers.

Once the eggs are laid, they are rolled and directed downwards to where we will be harvesting them.

For the other type of pen construction you can decide to build just a normal house like this one with no wiring work.

The birds food through can be suspended in the air for them to pick and eat from it while avoiding contaminating the foods with their faces.

Those who have enough money to construct these bigger pen house for their birds especially the Commoners here also construct small cages of these sizes to grow their birds like the ones we have here

The entire idea is that poultry farming is a lucrative business and everyone is trying to dive into it to see how much they can make from it. So far the most expensive aspect of these farming is the construction of the pen and the bird feeds.
A single bird was sold for about $14 during the festive season which is usually the season when birds are on high demand for sale, often times people look at this end profit of the after sale of birds without thinking of how much has been spent to raise these birds.

A calculated amount of feeds is often feed to the birds to both maintain their weight and health while working at the end profit. To raise poultry birds you have to decide about what type of specie you want to grow first.
Either broilers or layers, as this will determine the pen construction methods and the expenses for the kind of feeds they will likely consume as well. This will guide new poultry farmers about a good entry point into this business.
