A lovely Two piece outfit I recycled for my friend.

Here goes the lovely two piece outfit I had recycled for my friend. I have had this lovely brown top for a while but has never found the right matching skirt or pants that will fit well with it. This has made me to keep the blouse hidden for so long but the good thing is that, I'm so glad that the top didn't fade away having been kept at the bottom of my box.
One of of my friend who is equally an apprentice brought home a piece of garment she wanted to use to practice how to make basic stitching
I remember telling us about her learning progress in which I am so proud of my teaching skills that in just one week she has been able to cut and sew her a pencil skirt here.
While continuing with her training she has brought this piece of old cloth she wanted to tear and learn basic stitches with. Seeing that the fabric was a pretty one and doesn't look faded at all, I decided to teach me her to recycle fabrics.
It's is not enough to learn how to cut and sew, we must also learn some fashion tricks and hacks, more stull how to make every fabric useful.
I taught her how to cut a three quarter skirt as against the straight pencil skirt she has sewn earlier.
While recycling the fabric I equally taught her how to sew a straight stitch in cloth as she was finding it difficult to maintain a straight line. Whenever she begins sewing with 0.5" seam allowance she hardly holds that till the end.
With sewing you have to perfect both your stitches and cutting.
We were able to scale through the cutting, sewing and zipper fixing.
The end result was this pretty recycled three quartered skirt.
Just them I remembered this top and how that the fabric print can complement each other. Putting them together my friend loved the ideas and wished that I gift her the top to be worm with her skirt. That wasn't a difficult task for me as I gifted her my top.
I assisted in resizing the blouse as it was too big for her and now she we have both recycled a beautiful outfit for her.
I'm so happy that she is learning fast and been creative in every direction.
