Do you know the wood apples?
Hello Photography Lovers
Hope you are well wherever you are.
We all love to eat fruits, surprisingly, the fruits are as delicious as they are beautiful and make you want to eat them just by looking at them.
I was in my neighbor's yard when wood apples caught my eye. So I thought I should photograph this strange fruit.
Wood apples do not grow all over the world but only in India and one or two neighboring countries. So many people do not know about this fruit. They find it strange to see this fruit. The name of this fruit is also original. Although this fruit does not taste like an apple, there is a lot of debate about how logical it is to name this fruit wood apple. But this fruit has a nice taste but is different from apples. There is a hard shell like wood around this fruit which has to be broken to eat the fruit. That is why the word wood has been used with the name of this fruit.
When the upper shell is broken, a delicious thing like cream comes out. This cream looks spongy or black. I have eaten this fruit many times. Whoever sees this fruit wants to eat it. This fruit cannot be eaten raw, but it tastes good even if you burn it. My father likes to burn it.
Although it is a fruit tree, it is also very well known as a medicinal tree. The villagers use the leaves and bark of this tree for various diseases. However, now the demand for herbal medicine has decreased a lot. Herbal medicine has no side effects, so we should all use herbal medicine. Wood apples tree is used to cure diarrhea, this tree is also good for liver health. It is also sometimes used to treat snake bites. Again, the leaves of this tree are also used to increase the memory of those who have weak memory. It is believed that the leaves of this tree are not good for sex, I do not believe this because I have also used the leaves of this tree as medicine.

i have seen this fruit here locally outside some temples related to Shiva but tasted it only once. we are lucky to have been given some fruit when visiting Dr. Jain's herbal farm and school some years ago. we tried planting a few and one sprouted and has survived even though the soil is pure sand. i don-t think we will get any fruit because the soil is so poor but we use the leaves both as medicine and in ritual offerings
Great, If your tree is 15-20 feet tall, then it is expected to bear fruit. I don't know if wood apples grow only in sandy soil. The most important thing is favorable weather. Thanks for commenting. I'm so glad you visited my blog.
