There is Potency in Money

Everybody would agree with me that it's a good thing to have money, poverty is bad and no one should be associated with it. Money is meant to be made and as well spent, even the holy book says Money gives everything, which means with money you have power to do and undo, be it power to do good or evil.

We all know the importance of money in the world today. Even if someone becomes rich over night, people that are mocking the person for been poor will gather to celebrate with him or her so as to benefit from the person's wealth.

With money, you becomes the most sorted friend of the world and the society would love to associate with you, no one want to associate with a pauper at all. So if the money becomes scarce, almost all friends if not all will disappear and later becomes your backbiter.

My prayer daily is to be rich and never to be poor, I want to be wealthy so that my generations and those unborn will call me blessed. I know it takes the grace of God to be rich but I will try all my possible best to make riches through hard work and diligence.

Three years ago, a colleague of mine invited me to his sister's wedding ceremony. The guy is the jovial type, he always look good and loves to give gifts to people around him, I'm one of the beneficiaries of his gifts so I thought within myself that I will honor his invite to show appreciation for all he has done for me. He also insisted that I must attend the wedding, so I promised him that I would grace the occasion with my presence.

The first thing that I noticed was the quality of the invite that he gave me, it was very beautiful to behold. Also the location of the wedding (which was a garden wedding) within my mind, I was surprised because the garden is one of the most sorted place in my state.

When I got there that Saturday morning, I was shocked, I now understand that people have money in Nigeria. Then I told myself that I must make money to live a life of influence. From the caliber of people that I saw at the event, to the decors, the arrangements, the band, the bride outfits with her bride maids and the dishes was top notch, the event was so classic and being shocked was an understatement for me.

The reception started after solemnization service at the same venue, it was then that the master of ceremony told all the guests that the dish stand is opened for everyone to serve themselves. Wow😲😲 there are varieties of foods and drinks, even those that I've never seen in life.

I was surprised and when the guy came to where I sat, I was forced to ask him how come he never show any sign of wealthiness at work, he was just smiling and told me to enjoy myself. This guy literally have everything at his disposal but doesn't show off at all, he is a simple guy who jokes with everyone, and I truly enjoyed myself at that occasion.

To say the truth, the realization of his richness made me have a cold feet towards him cause I thought within myself that if I make any complaint of been in need, he might be feeling somehow cause of what I've known about him.

Did you know this funny guy noticed my behavior, he came to me and told me never to run away from him that he is a normal human being just like everybody and that I shouldn't let that affect our friendship. Till today we are still in touch and after the discovery of his richness, I nicknamed him Silent Money.
