Healed Out! Weekly Battle Mage Secrets!
Welcome back to our Weekly Battle Mage Secrets!
This week, we are featuring the Healed Out ruleset.
Healed Out:
- All healing abilities are removed.
- This applies to summoners as well.
- Healing abilities include Heal, Tank Heal, and Triage.
Healed Out is a limiting ruleset that forces you to think about either disregarding a sustain type lineup or find ways to be more creative about it. Depending on the combination rulesets, you'll have to think a little bit differently than usual.

| If you can slot this in, Protect can be a good option to have so that you can tank a few more extra hits. This is for when you want to still play a semi sustain build albeit the heal. | ||||||||||||||||||||
In synergy with the above, you might also want to opt for having Void Armor when you can. Making sure that your enemies eat through your armor first prior to the HP will go a long way in making your lineup last. |
| Since you double down on armor, might as well go all the way and include a Repair in! Since repair isn't limited to being cast towards the front line only, you can also get instances of repair in the back line for increased survivability of your glass cannons or support monsters. |
This week's feature is from a regular match in Gold League. Rulesets are as follows:
I'm up against the famous Cryptobogie who has a lot of land plots he's putting up on sale on the market. I keep an eye out on market prices but that's a different story. Round 1We have very similar lineups and he opted to essentially have 2 front line tanks while I opted for only 1. The bigger problem here though is that my Venari Spellsmith is significantly under leveled compared to theirs. That may be the difference in the whole match considering we mirror a lot of the same cards. Round 2In round 2, it wasn't actually the level difference between the Venari Spellsmiths that made the difference. Since we were both using Thaddius Brood as our summoner, we ended up with just 1 magic damage per monster. The bigger impact in this round is actually my Riftwing being poisoned while theirs didn't. Round 3As expected, since my Riftwing got taken out faster due to poison, I'm left with no tank and my Revealer had to take more damage. This leaves me with a front line Venari Bonesmith in the front line at the start of round 3. It also didn't help that my Ravenhood Warden missed and the backfire by the Riftwing took it out. Round 4Round 4 is pretty much the beginning of the end. My Bonesmith is not long for the world and since my own Riftwing is out, their Raven now deals 2 damage which will make quick work of my remaining monsters. ResultsGG! I liked how we mirrored our lineups more closely and it was a little more to RNG that I lost and that sometimes happens. That's it for this one and see you next week! Full battle here.
