Hello lions

What is the tag that newbies use?

We have a referral about to make her first post?

Would be good to see InLeo showing support to InLeo referrals..

You know, I've been thinking, it would be great if there was a moderator here to welcome new users, answer questions, just like on Discord. I mean, why not? 🙂

Would be a great idea, I see individual users do it from time to time.

Yeah, this came to mind when I remembered seeing many 'you can ask on Discord' replies made in the past. Then there's a moderator(or someone else) to help new users there. Why isn't he or she here on Inleo!? 😀

that is up to the community to do.
moderator sounds like you are telling people what is acceptable.
and you can't censor me.

Obviously, I didn't mean moderating in that sense but if you have ever been in crypto Discord groups, you'd know that moderators mostly answer questions there. That's what I meant. Not the nazi part.

Now it feels it's mostly outsourced to users who might or might not know the answers and if not, they forward new users to Discord which is of course, absurd.

yeah, but we need to stop doing with crypto discords do.
we need to create a new model and community.

the masses of normies hate crypto because of the people in it.
We can't copy we have to lead.

First of all, Discord wasn't created for crypto in the first and I'm pretty sure moderators help newbies on non-crypto Discord groups as well. Secondly, what normies hate the most is when they are bounced from one place to another or have to dig deep to find answers to simple questions.

My suggestion has nothing to do with crypto, it's just basic customer service done well which would probably lead to more users actually staying and becoming frequent users of Inleo. I know, there's no such thing on X but why copy when we can lead?

The community can moderator then.
No reason for a "moderator" role.

Who is going to pay and police the moderator?
What will stop normies from thinking they speak for the chain, protocol, dapp, etc..

What simple questions?
give examples and don't say things like "wallet, earnings, etc"
because if you were, you are still thinking like a crypto bro and that needs to change.

For this first part of my your reply, try reading my previous reply with a thought, perhaps you are able to grasp the idea of the "moderator" I meant with a second try.

As for the second part, those are valid questions and the possibility to earn is what gives Inleo the edge when compared to X (which everyone will be doing, like it or not).

Crypto people should be the number 1 target group for Inleo. They know the drill and probably ask fewer questions and are more likely to stay. However, we should drop any kind of hostility toward crypto people and moreover, encourage users to write more about crypto topics so Inleo would feel more welcoming, more like home for crypto bros.

Yeah. I disagree.
Crypto Bros can go pound sand.
I work in the game industry and they have set back the tech by years.

I am done talking on this.
I have my projects that will be built on top of InLeo I will continue to work on those and ignore the Hive mentality of crypto bros.

Fair enough, I'll just say this one thing 😅. I'm not sure you are seeing the bigger picture. It's awesome that you have your own project building on Inleo but wouldn't it be good to widen your perspective a bit? Perhaps be more open to different views and interests many have in the space? Eventually, that would lead to more satisfied users which would most likely lead to more users for your project! Everybody wins.

I am open to other views, just not the same view that everyone has been repeating for the last 7 years.
and that is what you are doing.

Just identify newbies with an icon next to their name. Have it stay there for the first 30 days then disappear.

This will let everyone know who is new.
