Three things that annoy you

It is actually an AprilInleo prompt for today the 9th of April 2025!

1 Incompetence

If you are going to do something, then do it right!

Fact ~ Incompetence can kill....

I have managed multi million dollar projects in the oil and gas industry. I am a chemical or Process design engineer who would design oil and gas equipment.

If you fuck things up, them BOOM bang death and carnage ensues!!!

I am a fluffing stickler for details.

Often I would receive project cost reports with perhaps a decimal point in the wrong place, the total error might not be much but imagine if the decimal place was three or four points in the wrong place. Now you are into the thousands and even millions.

Incompetence shows a lack of skill, effort, or understanding and it will lead to errors, not to mention time wasting, inefficiencies, cost increases and possible death!

Take our Hive platform ... If you are going to publish an article, at least proofread it. Show you care and not just another incompetent freeloader!

2 The lack of Manners

Even as a child, I was brought upto be a gentleman, these are some of the things that I did as a child and still do to this day! It is called having manners, and everyone should be doing these!

I would ALWAYS say please and thank you, and mean it!
I would hold doors open for people.
I would give up my seat on the bus to someone elderly or disabled.
I would address someone by their name when I spoke to them!
I would look at someone when they were talking to me.
I was ALWAYS on time, I was punctual. Fluff me the amount of money wasted by people being late is ridiculous. Do you know if you have a meeting with 12 people and that meeting started 15 minutes late, that you have waste 4 manhours! Inefficient. Trust me punctuality is huge in my book.
I would and still try to do at least once a day and offer to help someone. Whether it is carrying their groceries or helping them cross the road or even just asking someone "Can I help you with that?".

There are so many more instances of manners that I could mention. But I see the lack of manners or bad manners becoming more and more normal?

Why?

I was brought up to...

... treat someone the way you would be want to be treated.

It's simple really!

3 The Human Race ~ People!

As a collective the human race really gets on my tits big time!

We are hell bent on not only destroying all forms of wildlife and fauna on our planet we share, but also the planet itself!

I here so many people saying how wonderful they are.

Yet they are destroying the planet.

Look at how much cheap plastic crap they buy, probably from China. What happens to it ... nothing it doesn't decompose for years!!!

People in the so called developed countries as a rule don't want to be inconvenienced so they won't stop using their car. Oh no some people have cars for each day of the week.

If we want to kill each other, go to war with each other, then fine, but again what happens, the animals the plants the rivers that we share this planet with we destroy as well!

Yeah Humans take a long hard look at yourselves and change before you destroy the planet completely..

Oh and when you do go and inhabit another planet in the solar system, don't kill that one too!
