Monomad: Cemetery Statues

These statues of Jesus and Mary are very detailed, and I find their somber look very fitting for being in a cemetery. I appreciate the artistry that goes into carving such intricate and ornate statues. I like using black and white in a combination of different ways with images like this, one is to show off the textures of the stone and features of the sculpture. The other is to show off the softness, such as Marys robe and the way the light glows on the top of he hear adds yet another element to these.
