Monomad: Calgary Comic Parade Prep

I always find it interesting to watch people as they stand around casually in cosplay waiting to get ready for our annual parade. It's fun to walk through the crowds like the calm before the storm, and its 30 minutes well spent as it gets me ready for what's to come. It's also my first view of the types of costumes people chose this year, and there is always something new. I sometimes try to spot themes, and I think one key theme this year was Canadian patriotism. Seeing some costumes done up in a red and white style with the maple leaf proudly displayed showed the mood of the times.
