Monomad: Asian Elephant at the Calgary Zoo

I really like the way that black and white brings out the textures in the skin of this Elephant. Prior to 2014 the Calgary zoo was home to Asian Elephants for several decades until they were moved to Washington DC. At the time we ahd 3 here and I always though that they were a highlight of any visit and marvelled at the size of these gentle giants. In 2013 they endured the alrgest flood in 100 years as the zoio here is an island along the Bow river and it was hit pretty hard, fortunatly many of the staff at this zoo were able to decicate their time to keeping allthe animals safe.
