No matter how hot the weather is, there are always insects to be found. It can be tricky to get nice photos in harsh sunlight, but I find that with insects, the light can help. Usually this is when you will see more of them around, and it can also slow them down a touch on a hot day if you are patient enough to wait for them. Dragonflies like to move around a lot, but once they have settled somewhere, they can be quite still. Moths can be harder to follow, but again if you wait, they will settle somewhere and let you get pretty close so long as you don't move in too fast. Bee's you can follow around as they move from flower to flower, and they will slow down from time to time while they gather pollen, so it's worth waiting them out a bit.
