Deer Encounter at Fishcreek Provincial Park
One of the largest inner city provincial parks in Canada is Fishcreek. In the south of the city it cuts a wide swath through the urban areas and is a great place to get away from it all without actually leaving the city. Having visited here several times I know that there is also no promise of encountering wildlife depending where you are in the park. Fortunately this visit had plenty of wildlife life. As I walked a little off path near a cluster of trees I saw something with its head down facing towards me. At first I was worried it might be a cougar but then with a life of the head I saw it was a deer. As I crept a little closer their was a second deer both grazing and after observing me for a moment they calmly returned to their activity which gave me some opportunities to get a few pictures though the trees.
