Calgary Comic Expo 2025 Day 1 Walking Around
Comic expos and conventions can be really fun to walk around because you never know who or what you'll encounter. Even for someone like me who has gone to quite a few, there is always something I have either never seen before or hadn't thought about in years.
I enjoy the cosplayers and seeing their creations; some of these characters really do come to life as people love to play the part, and the work they put into their costumes can be very authentic-looking. I think cosplay has become its own industry and gives people a chance to take part in their favorite pop culture pieces.
The displays, exhibits, and vendors always have something interesting on offer. Some groups have booths and work for charity, like the Alberta Ghostbusters. Some are there to revive old properties and relive some nostalgia, like the booth displaying The Hilarious House Of Frightenstein merch, which was a Canadian kids show in the 70s. There really is something for everyone, and if you have a con or expo nearby, it might be worth checking out as a nice escape from reality!!
