Hey everyone how has this Thursday gotten you to,
It's my first time posting here, and I’m really excited to be part of this amazing community. A big shout-out to the moderators, admins, and the management team for creating a space where we can all look back and share our special memories.

We all know memories are like snapshots from the past, some good, some not so great but they help shape who we are today. Thankfully, the ones I’m sharing today are all positive and meaningful milestones that made 2023 truly unforgettable for me.

MATRICULATING INTO THE UNIVERSITY OF UYO
Topping my list is one of my biggest achievements: gaining admission into the Federal University of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State. It was a dream come true. After completing secondary school, I longed for the chance to further my education, and getting into a university was no small feat. With the competitive nature of the admission process and the hurdles of the JAMB exams, it wasn't easy. But by God’s grace, I made it through and officially became a university student. That day was full of pride and joy for me and my family and today I'm almost done with my first degree.

An educational trip to Calabar as an historian
Another standout memory was an excursion to Calabar, which happened in the first quarter of last year. It was organized by my department, history and International Studies and it gave me the chance to explore the National Archives and National Museum in Calabar. It was a fun and enlightening trip! We got to dive into the history of early explorers and traders, and I enjoyed bonding with my coursemates outside the classroom setting. The whole experience deepened my appreciation for our history and culture.

Serving as an usher
Last but definitely not least was a memorable moment from outside of school. In early November, my church, St. Peter’s parish Uniuyo, celebrated our parish priest’s 30th anniversary in the priesthood. I was honored to be chosen as one of the lead ushers for the event, welcoming guests and helping everything run smoothly. It was a beautiful celebration and one I’ll always hold dear to my heart.

Mis Momentos Inolvidables desde 2023 hasta Ahora

¡Hola a todos! Es mi primera vez publicando aquí y estoy muy emocionado de formar parte de esta increíble comunidad. Un gran agradecimiento a los moderadores, administradores y al equipo de gestión por crear un espacio donde todos podemos recordar y compartir nuestros momentos especiales.

Todos sabemos que los recuerdos son como instantáneas del pasado—algunos buenos, otros no tanto—pero todos nos ayudan a construir quienes somos hoy. Afortunadamente, los que voy a compartir hoy son positivos y representan logros importantes que hicieron del 2023 un año verdaderamente inolvidable para mí.

Mi Ingreso a la Universidad de Uyo

El primero en mi lista es uno de mis mayores logros: ser admitido en la Universidad Federal de Uyo, en el estado de Akwa Ibom. ¡Fue un sueño hecho realidad! Después de terminar la secundaria, deseaba con muchas ganas continuar mis estudios, y entrar a la universidad no fue tarea fácil. Con lo competitivo del proceso de admisión y los desafíos del examen JAMB, fue todo un reto. Pero gracias a Dios, lo logré, aprobé los exámenes y obtuve los puntos necesarios. Ese día fue de mucho orgullo y alegría para mí y mi familia.

Un Viaje Educativo a Calabar

Otro recuerdo destacado fue una excursión a la ciudad de Calabar, que tuvo lugar durante el primer trimestre del año pasado. Fue organizada por mi departamento—Historia y Estudios Internacionales—y me dio la oportunidad de visitar los Archivos Nacionales y el Museo Nacional de Calabar. ¡Fue un viaje muy divertido y enriquecedor! Pudimos explorar la historia de los primeros exploradores y comerciantes, y disfruté mucho compartir esa experiencia con mis compañeros fuera del aula. Todo el viaje me hizo valorar aún más nuestra historia y cultura.

Servir en un Evento Especial en la Iglesia

Y por último, pero no menos importante, hubo un momento muy especial fuera del entorno escolar. A principios de noviembre, mi parroquia—San Pedro—celebró el 30º aniversario sacerdotal de nuestro párroco. Tuve el honor de ser elegido como uno de los ujieres principales del evento, recibiendo a los invitados y ayudando a que todo saliera bien. Fue una celebración hermosa que guardaré por siempre en mi corazón.
