Hello everyone, happy new day, to each and everyone, to the Christians in the house I hope you are going or you went to church today. To the Catholic we keep on praying for the soul our our late pope and pray for God's guidance and the camalingo over the church during the difficult time and a successful conclave of the waiting new pope.

I read this book a long time ago but since today is Sunday, I feel I should write on it since I couldn't go to church too, please don't ask me the reason I didn't go,

Reading The Teaching, Healing, Meaning and Application of the Doctrine and Belief by Rev. Brother Pius Agyemang, SVD, felt like sitting across from a trusted mentor who really understands the heart of Catholicism. This book does not just teach doctrine from a cold or academic point of view. It invites you into a living faith, one that teaches, heals, gives meaning, and demands to be lived out every day.

As a Catholic, I have often faced questions from non-Catholics and even from fellow Catholics who struggle to understand what we believe. Why do Catholics honor Mary so much? Do we worship her? Why do we have all these "extra" teachings when the Bible should be enough? Brother Pius addresses these underlying concerns without shying away or watering down the truth. He explains beautifully that our veneration of Mary is rooted in the honor God Himself gave her by choosing her to bear His Son. We do not worship Mary. Worship belongs to God alone. Mary points us to her Son, and loving her draws us closer to Jesus, not away from Him.

The way Brother Pius explains doctrine is very down-to-earth. He shows that doctrine is not just about having the "right answers" but about letting God's truth shape our hearts and lives. I loved how he connected doctrine to healing. Many times, people see Church teaching as a set of rigid rules, but Brother Pius reminds us that they are like the guide rails on a mountain road. They are there to keep us from falling into the cliffs. When we embrace the teachings of the Church, especially about forgiveness, mercy, the dignity of life, and the call to holiness, we find that they actually heal our wounded souls and free us to live more fully.

His reflections on the Sacraments, especially Confession and the Eucharist, touched me deeply. He writes about them not as rituals but as real encounters with Christ. Reading this made me ask myself, "Have I been approaching the Sacraments casually instead of seeing them as the lifelines they are meant to be?"

One thing that really stood out to me was Brother Pius’s insistence that doctrine must be applied, not just admired from a distance. He challenges readers to ask tough questions: How do I live out the Church’s teaching on charity? How am I standing up for the dignity of every human life? In today’s world where Catholic beliefs are often misunderstood or mocked, this book is a refreshing and faithful reminder of the beauty and depth of our faith. It offers answers to the honest questions people ask about our practices, especially about saints, Mary, the Sacraments, and even tough moral teachings, but it always does so in a way that is full of compassion and hope.

I would highly recommend The Teaching, Healing, Meaning and Application of the Doctrine and Belief to anyone cradle Catholic, convert, or seeker who wants to move beyond surface-level understanding and into a deeper, life-changing encounter with the truth of the Catholic faith.

A los católicos, seguimos rezando por el alma de nuestro difunto Papa y pedimos la guía de Dios y la protección del Camarlengo sobre la Iglesia en estos tiempos difíciles, así como un cónclave exitoso mientras esperamos al nuevo Papa.

Leí este libro hace mucho tiempo, pero como hoy es domingo, siento que debería escribir sobre él ya que tampoco pude ir a la iglesia. Por favor, no me pregunten la razón por la cual no fui.

Leer The Teaching, Healing, Meaning and Application of the Doctrine and Belief del Reverendo Hermano Pius Agyemang, SVD, se sintió como sentarse frente a un mentor de confianza que realmente entiende el corazón del catolicismo. Este libro no solo enseña la doctrina desde un punto de vista frío o académico. Te invita a una fe viva, una fe que enseña, que sana, que da sentido y que exige ser vivida cada día.

Como católico, muchas veces he enfrentado preguntas de no católicos e incluso de católicos que luchan por entender lo que creemos. ¿Por qué los católicos honramos tanto a María? ¿La adoramos? ¿Por qué tenemos tantas "enseñanzas extra" cuando la Biblia debería ser suficiente? El Hermano Pius aborda estas inquietudes sin miedo ni suavizar la verdad. Explica de manera hermosa que nuestra veneración a María se basa en el honor que Dios mismo le dio al escogerla para llevar en su seno a Su Hijo. Nosotros no adoramos a María. La adoración pertenece solo a Dios. María siempre nos señala hacia su Hijo, y amarla nos acerca más a Jesús, no nos aleja de Él.

La manera en que el Hermano Pius explica la doctrina es muy sencilla y accesible. Demuestra que la doctrina no se trata solo de tener las "respuestas correctas", sino de dejar que la verdad de Dios transforme nuestros corazones y nuestras vidas. Me encantó cómo conecta la doctrina con la sanación. Muchas veces, la enseñanza de la Iglesia es vista como un conjunto de reglas estrictas, pero el Hermano Pius nos recuerda que son como barandillas en un camino de montaña: están ahí para evitar que caigamos por el precipicio. El Hermano Pius escribe con un estilo claro y lleno de oración, lo que hace que incluso los puntos teológicos más profundos sean accesibles. Se nota que es un hombre de oración y de profunda fe. Cada página parece impregnada del deseo no solo de informar la mente, sino de encender el corazón con amor a Cristo y a Su Iglesia.
