Actually, with just a little effort, you can create a better Buddha-recitation practice, you really can! You must expand your mind, place immeasurable sentient beings into this recitation of the Buddha's name, place the supreme merit of all Buddhas into this recitation, and then also place your own liberation within this recitation - then your Buddha-recitation will be perfect and complete.

This recitation of the Buddha's name, this merit of Immeasurable Light and Immeasurable Life, will continue to operate in your life until you attain Buddhahood. So you must pay attention to what you cultivate in the causal ground!
