I WILL NEVER TRADE AGAIN

I will never trade again, I will never trade again, I will never trade again. I guess there’s just that time when every seasoned trader gets to this point of telling themselves they’ll never trade again but guess what, they trade again,….

Many people that play betting games can relate to this, infact everyone can, if you win at something, there’s always that tendency you’ll want to do it again, and again, and again, till you’re able to make a living out of it, I think it’s just human nature….

…..so the reality is “alive” for everyone, you win at something once, you want to do it again, especially when you know you can keep winning at it….against all odds, this is the motivation for every trader too, you’ll hear stories of how seasoned traders lost fortunes to trading, I don’t think anyone else looses money like crypto OGs, but most of them make it back later with even more,…..

……….. heck what about me today, I forgot that I put a stop loss on my Rune trades sometime last week, and just left it, today I woke up and the trade had executed, I put the stop loss at $4.9 and apparently something happened and it got executed,……

………then the markets started recovering and I FOMOD back in at $5.3! I lost 2 Rune in the process, it hurts like hell, I’m never trading again, but who am I kidding?…I’ve learnt the real lesson needed to be learnt and it was not about “never trading again” it was about not forgetting that stop loss setting for no reason and about not ever trying to sell Rune for no reason, never sell your Rune

Until we start to see double damn digits! So yeah, I’ll def trade again, But it’s not like I even trade much these days or intend to, sometimes some opportunities are just too golden to pass up on especially when you know you can win and they don’t happen every time.

Every seasoned investor knew that 2023 was the year to start all over. It was that year where you let go of your former investments because most of them got 99% battered in 2022 guess who else knew this, Microstrategy! Bought up thousands of Bitcoins all through 2023, And are today in massive profit and still buying!

Ofcourse if you built all through the bear market you also know this, in hindsight, 2023 was that get back in with all your resources year, I tried my best too, I lived on my assets, and my portfolio bled through almost every sale, story for another day, lol…

…..but many will look back at 2023 as the beginning of that pivotal change in their life and evolution of crypto, it was crazy as we were going through the worst of it with most of our wallets at 99% down, but we did and still found ways to keep coming back and also because we know that we can win. 2024 is that winning year friend! I wish you the best of profits.

...Essentially, the true essence of trading, I've realized, isn't just about the wins or losses, it's about the journey of self-discovery and mastery over one's instincts. Each trade teaches me something new, not just about the market, but about myself - my risk tolerance, my decision-making process, and my emotional resilience.

Take, for example, the broader market trends of 2023. The global economic landscape has been a complex puzzle, with each piece influencing my trading decisions. Navigating through these tumultuous times has taught me the importance of staying informed and adaptable.

My trading strategy has undoubtedly evolved. I now trade with a set of principles that prioritize risk management and informed decision-making. Gone are the days of impulsive trades; now, each decision is weighed and aligned with a long-term vision, fact is, I invest more than I trade.

As for the future, I'm cautiously optimistic. I see potential trends on the horizon that could be lucrative, but I'm also aware of the inherent risks. My plan? To stay agile, informed, and ready to pivot as the market demands.

To my fellow traders, whether you're just starting out or have been in the game for years like me, remember that trading is a marathon, not a sprint. Learn from each trade, stay disciplined, and don't let emotions cloud your judgment. And most importantly, enjoy the journey. The market is more than just numbers; it's a canvas of opportunity, ready for those who are prepared to seize it.

Thanks for reading.

Great advice on trading, everything is impossible right away, but if you start a long marathon, satisfaction will come in the long run

You're right, I like your expression canvas of opportunity! I am following the crypto market and this year I also want to take a look at the stock market

I stayed away from stocks because you have to be a pro or licensed to trade them as far as I understood, stock is a good option if one can get in and find their way around

Many people jump into trade at the time. They want fast money

Making money quickly is too high a risk that I have no intention of taking

Crypto is not about quick money people must understand this. They buy hype than reality

They see how fast money can be made by pros or people who are one time lucky and they want to be like them immediately. Doesn’t work that way, there’s a lot of “tuition fee” to be paid 😅

Paid that tuition fee and I did have sense

I still believe that the fewer we trade, the better results we get. Thus, apart from strong support and resistance levels, I do not trade until a trend violation occurs.

Thanks for the insight mate ✌️

I tend to control my emotion now. If the train already going away, i won't chase it. No greed. There still more opportunity in another time and another coin

There’s always another train to catch, I think 2024 will bring out the trader out of many people

Trading is an addiction like sport betting, many of us follow what people say about the market instead of we doing our own research. In crypto trading we don't invest more than what we can afford to loss. Many people say they won't trade again because they invest more than what they can loss

Also true, that can really hurt oneself and even other people.

The possibility of winning again always keeps us coming back lol. But I think what's more important is learning the lessons and getting better at the game. It's definitely a marathon and not a sprint. So it's good to keep the long term vision :)

Yes, it’s learning the lessons. Although sometimes, the lesson one should learn should be to never trade again lol

Lol, I wish that was possible. I can't even imagine what it will look like having to never trade again. But I think with time and experience, our frequency of trades become less.
