Diving Into The Magic of Universal Studios Singapore: Day One of Fantasy, Sweets, and a Taste of Malaysian Delights!

One of the first destinations on my travel itinerary? Universal Studios is located in Singapore! Entering the huge entryway made me feel like a child again, eager to discover a world full of adventure and excitement.

Singapore has long been on my bucket list of places to visit, and I finally had the chance to see its attractions.

With large roller coasters spinning in the sky, people walking around, and music playing, the setting had an enticing quality. As I walked about, I was drawn in by the vibrant atmosphere of Hollywood Boulevard, where I saw my favorite movie-themed attractions come to life.

One of the biggest highlights? Finding the LEGO HOUSE! The massive LEGO sign instantly caught my eye, standing tall and bright, almost inviting me in. The creativity and craftsmanship behind every LEGO structure amazed me—entire miniature cities, famous landmarks, and even fun, interactive zones where people were happily building their own creations. It was a childhood dream realized in one colorful, playful space.

Taking a picture in front of the famous Universal Globe at the entryway is one of my favorite memories of my trip. One of Universal Studios Singapore's most recognizable features is the enormous, revolving blue globe with golden letters, which is a must-see location for tourists to take pictures.

I stood before the misty fountain, wearing my casual yet stylish outfit—and smiled brightly at the camera. The atmosphere was lively, with many other tourists capturing their moments, eager to start their adventure inside the theme park.

As I continued strolling around Universal Studios, I stumbled upon a sweets kiosk that looked like something straight out of Willy Wonka’s factory. The display was a dream for anyone with a sweet tooth—colorful candies, oversized lollipops, and the most delightful popsicle sticks covered in layers of chocolates, nuts, and candy toppings.

I couldn’t resist trying one of these sweet treats. The cold, creamy popsicle and crunchy toppings were the perfect snack under the Singapore sun.

Hunger kicked in after hours of exploring attractions, and indulging in sweets. I left Universal Studios and wandered around Sentosa for a good meal. That’s when I stumbled upon a cozy Malaysian restaurant, and curiosity led me inside.

The menu immediately caught my attention—it was familiar, almost like Filipino cuisine. I ordered a plate of Nasi Lemak, and the moment I took the first bite, I knew I had made the right choice. The fragrant coconut rice, crispy fried chicken, and spicy sambal reminded me of home. The flavors were bold yet comforting, a mix of sweet, tangy, and savory.

Rendang is a tasty beef meal that is slow-cooked and covered in a thick, fragrant sauce. I also tasted it. It tasted like a Filipino beef stew called kaldereta but with more spices. I was astounded by how eating could both feel so familiar and expose me to something so different.

Each serving on the plate is priced at $6.50 and includes a combination of dishes to provide a balanced meal. This combination ensures a satisfying and well-rounded dining experience.

I couldn't help but think back on the event as the day ended. The day was absolutely beautiful. The famous LEGO HOUSE to feasting in nostalgic childhood treats and enjoying a supper that brought back memories of home.
