Corruption: The Pest of Society

No matter how beautiful our society looks, there are some dark sides hidden inside it. And one of the most harmful of these dark sides is corruption. It is a disease that is slowly eating away at the inside of our society. It may not be apparent from the outside, but deep down, our values, justice, and morality are being destroyed.

Corruption means taking unfair advantage. It can be taking money, abusing one's own work, or doing something that is not right but is done for one's own benefit. Taking bribes in the office, cheating in exams, and getting work done without following the correct rules all are examples of corruption.

If a government employee does not fulfill his duties and gets paid, that is corruption. If a student takes an exam by looking at someone else's account, that is also a form of corruption. In other words, wherever one's own advantage is taken unfairly, corruption thrives.

First of all, corruption destroys our justice. Those who have money easily get a lot. And those who do not have money have to fight for everything. This creates inequality in society. On the one hand, the rich get richer, while on the other hand, the poor suffer more.

Secondly, due to corruption, skilled people are not valued. Those who have the ability to work fall behind. And those who have money or identity easily advance. This destroys talent, and people's interest in work decreases.

Thirdly, corruption creates suspicion and distrust among people. No one can trust anyone. Everyone thinks, "He must have advanced with some advantage." Such thinking divides society instead of uniting it.

Where does corruption start? Honestly, it starts from small places. When we lie, harm others for small advantages, that's when the seeds of corruption are sown. If a child sees his father lying to get a job, he also thinks it's normal. If a teacher tolerates cheating in school, students think it's okay. This is how this disease starts from a young age and grows.

  • To fight corruption, awareness is first needed. Everyone needs to know that corruption is harming society. This awareness should be created everywhere—in schools, colleges, families, offices.

  • Second, moral education is necessary. Children should learn the value of integrity from an early age. They need to be honest and understand that it can be difficult in the future, but that's a path of stability and respect.

  • Third, governments and governments must take strict measures against corruption. If someone commits corruption, he should be punished. This will create fear among others and they will be careful.

Corruption is not just a game of money, it is related to our soul, our values. If we all fix ourselves a little, do our work honestly—then corruption will gradually reduce from society.

A society is beautiful only when there is justice, respect, and most importantly, honesty. So let us all walk on the path of honesty and justice from our place. Let us become aware before this worm of corruption eats up the society.
