Web3’s Fun Dimension – Engaging Campaigns That Allure Users!

Bifrost's bbBNC Riders Campaign Page
In my previous article, I could not explain the fun element of the bbBNC Riders Campaign, because I focused on the fundamentals of Bifrost Tokenomics 2.0 — a technical, heavy topic.
Bifrost Sets a New Standard in Web3 Tokenomics With Its bbBNC 2.0 Upgrade
Even deeply technical protocols know something crucial:
Displaying technological brilliance alone does not attract users, even if Web3 enthusiasts admire it.
So, they design gamified and psychologically driven campaigns that appeal to curiosity, reward-seeking behavior, and community participation.
The bbBNC Riders Campaign was exactly such an initiative — encouraging users to lock BNC/vBNC into bbBNC and experience yield farming with a fun twist
What Makes bbBNC Special — Why It Deserved a Dedicated Campaign
bbBNC is a core element of Bifrost Tokenomics 2.0 — it is a time-locked derivative of vBNC that accumulates protocol profits.
I explained bbBNC mechanics in depth in my earlier article:
Bifrost Sets a New Standard in Web3 Tokenomics With Its bbBNC 2.0 Upgrade
Short version:
bbBNC = Buy Back BNC

Source Bifrost’s Profits flow to bbBNC – Bifrost Tokenomics 2.0
Bifrost uses 100% of its protocol profits to buy back BNC:
• 90% → distributed to bbBNC holders
• 10% → burned
This model is rare in Web3:
-> it sends profits directly to community-aligned token holders, instead of a central foundation or investor class.
-> It is a decentralization-aligned tokenomics model — not hype-based inflation or low-effort yield farming.
bbBNC Riders — Qualification Round for Lucky Draw Tickets 🎰
The bbBNC campaign was designed understanding human psychology that reward drops, pull in users – which is why it provided attractive APR incentives for yield farming bbBNC.
It’s a understood Web3 investor psychology that high APR incentives attract users – that logic is backed by monitoring historical Web3 user behavior, although todays Web3 users are a mature lot, who don’t chase APR rewards as much as before.
Today’s Web3 users also gauge value of Token, by evaluating the utility of Protocol, understanding that the long-time value of Token – depends on it’s demand based on Protocol usage and growth.
The bbBNC Riders Campaign had its extra cool Buzz – besides attractive APR rewards, participants win Lucky Draw tickets for yield farming on bbBNC!
The basic eligibility for Lucky Draw Tickets was locking of tokens. Weightage for Lucky Draw Tickets is based on the amount of BNC/vBNC locked and the time frame of lock.
Round 1 – Deposit & Earn bbBNC Yield Farming Rewards

Bifrost bbRiders Campaign Page. Interface making it easy for users to lock their BNC/vBNC tokens into bbBNC!
The first part of the bbBNC Rider Campaign was inciting users to deposit their BNC/vBNC tokens into bbBNC vault.
The feature in bbBNC Riders Campaign site to time-lock tokens made it easy for users to lock their BNC/vBNC tokens into bbBNC Vault.
Accordingly, Lucky Draw tickets are won for participating in the bbRiders campaign.
The usual APR reward yield farming incentive rewards get kick started here.
Deposit Time as valuable as the Deposited Principle!
Another wise implication seen in bbBNC Riders experience was – Time commitment has value!
When BNB/vBNC is locked for longer time period – yield farming rewards are more.
This is giving value to investor for locking Tokens – as they won’t be able to sell tokens during locked time-period.
Long-term committed bbBNC holders are incentivized with additional yield farming rewards
This simple mechanic rewards diamond-hand holders, not pump-and-dump farmers.
Round 2 – The bbBNC Lucky Draw Experience!
I had won 9 tickets for Lucky Draw for staking bbBNC for a year.

This was a fun experience, providing a chance to win bonus rewards by participating in Lucky Draws.
The Lucky Draw Experience was onchain, powered by Blockchain – Web3 Style!
Each Lucky Draw was a Lucky Draw Transaction verified onchain.
Lucky Draw Transactions were signed by the user using the same wallet address from which they deposited BNC/vBNC tokens into bbBNC vault.
Once verified - the gift box rotates – with a possibility of reward airdrop win!

My Luck Draw win!
This was a cool gamification experience with animation.
I won reward airdrops of vDOT, vBNC and Wave points which is convertible into bbBNC!

My Lucky Draw Wins from bbBNC Riders Campaign
All these Lucky Draw rewards were funded from the Bifrost Treasury.
There was even a proposal to refill the Lucky Draw bucket when it became empty.
Useful Lucky Draw Rewards for Bifrost-Polkadot Web3 users!
These small Lucky Drop Rewards felt like cool Web3 goodies won – because there were rewards of liquid staked vDOT, vBNC – which is more valuable than DOT and BNC.
As vDOT and vBNC are Bifrost minted LSDs – they accumulate staking rewards that grow in value with added weight of more DOT and BNC.
It rhymes well to win vTokens as Lucky Draw Rewards in Bifrost’s bbBNC Riders Campaign as Bifrost is a Liquid Staking Protocol!
A 0.01 DOT reward Drop serves well too as Capital to activate a User’s Polkadot Wallet Account!
Out of other small rewards won on bbBNC Riders Lucky Draw – I had won 0.01 vDOT. However, even if I won just 0.01 DOT it would be handy for me as a Polkadot dapp user to pay for fees. Now, with DOT balances moved to Polkadot Asset Hub – the minimum deposit balance required to be held in wallet – is 0.01 DOT reduced from 1 DOT.
Earlier, if wallet held less than 1 DOT as minimum balance – the rest of the DOT; that’s 0.99 DOT would vanish as dust. Now, that’s not the case as just 0.01 DOT need to be kept as minimum balance and user is free to use the remaining DOT on DEFI.
This is practically beneficial – for the rest of the DOT is now made available to be used to earn yields, it can be as elementary as minting remaining DOT into vDOT in Bifrost to earn staking rewards!
Rewards with utility – fueling users to Explore Protocol
Last year Shade had rewarded community with eSHD tokens (a deriavative of Shade’s native token SHD) for completing tasks. This engagement token reward – could later be converted to SHD and used in DEFI. These rewards are more meaningful for users than completing questing and earning XP points, for they have utility.
Users get connected with Protocol as well – as they get Protocol currency in form of Protocol’s Native Token, which they can use in the Protocol – for paying fees, use in DEFI etc, it’s a way to motivate users to use the Protocol.
I have explained how Shade’s eSHD campaign – rewarded users meaningfully for completing Quests here -
eSHD Airdrops: Recognizing the Value of Community Involvement in Shade Protocol
This is win-win situation for both the Protocol and users – with the Protocol getting promoted by its community of users and users earning eSHD rewards for all their time-invested efforts and engagement!
As a Bifrost user all the Lucky Draw crypto rewards I earned would be useful for me – to use in Bifrost. These rewards have value inside Web3 Protocols they are used – it’s useful for Protocol users!
bbBNC impact visualized from Bifrost’s Stats – changing Trend Patterns in BNC Token Supply
Bifrost’s Stats shed insights on BNC Buy Back and Burn Trend after bbBNC got introduced in Bifrost.
Bifrost’s Stats show that for the previous month of Nov – 426,316.69 BNC were brought back and 138,260 BNC were Burned.
Buy Back BNC Activity Data from Bifrost Stats

Burned BNC Data from Bifrost Stats

The impact of bbBNC playing its role in Bifrost's Tokenomic 2.0 can be noted on the periodic declines of BNC’s circulating supply since 20-Oct-2025.

When bbBNC Riders Campaign kicked off – APY incentives rates were at 310% on 1-Nov-2025, steadily declining since then!

How Campaign Strategy works in increasing Protocol Adoption
Bifrost’s has been designing campaigns rewarding users to use Bifrost – as Protocol kept opening up with new protocol functionalities.

-LST Campers Campaign rewarded users to mint vToken LSDs
-BNC Explorers Campaign rewarded users to mint BNC into vBNC
- bbBNC Riders Campaign I have covered here
These campaigns involve users making them part of Bifrost community, aiding them to use Bifrost Protocol – learning it through hands on experience in a fun, engaging way.
There were Campaign rewards for each activity with Wave points – which is convertible to bbBNC later.
Users get connected with a dapp through engagement in these campaigns – understanding how to use them – earning rewards for being early adopters.
These rewards tie users to the Protocol as they have usage inside Protocol – a currency with utility in Protocol – for earning yields in DEFI, or otherwise having other use cases!
This increases not only Protocol adoption but retains users as well.
Bifrost’s Campaign page is - https://wave.bifrost.io/
Any new campaigns they introduce will be under this page.
Such campaigns are delightful experiences making Web3 users feel like explorers – great way to introduce Protocol features, educate users on Protocol usage, reward them for being early adopters.
I began my liquid staking journey with Bifrost – Liquid staking DOT and ASTR for rewards in LST camper. I missed out on BNC explorers campaign, but got in on time winning reward drops in Bifrost’s bbBNC Riders Campaign.
