LeoFinance’s Zealy Campaign has ended!!

I found day before yesterday that LeoFinance’s #Zealy campaign has ended.

The aim of the #zealy campaign was to kick start usage of LeoFinance’s new platform that focuses on #microblogging content.

There is a Zealy quest that carries 0 points asking users to review the campaign. There will be curation points.

Leofinance team wants users to give feedback on their just concluded zealy campaign

The review is for the team to know how we users liked the LeoFinance Threads platform & our take on LeoFinance as a Web3 Social Media Platform, if the campaign helped in driving more user adoption of LeoFinance & did we find Leo Finance platform engaging and fun etc.

I will post my review on LeoFinance platform and the concluded #zealy quest campaign separately on another post.

This post talks about how LeoFinance microblogging platform is an addition to my association with Hive. What I mean by this is that LeoFinance has expanded my scope of activities in Hive.

If I mostly only engaged in long format content before, I can promote those posts threading or threadstorming about them on LeoFinance, besides threading about other things in life - food, movies, music, my day, the book I read, crypto news bulletins and such things.

Well, let me share what I learned using the leoFinance Web3 microblogging platform.

Adapting to short format content creation trends

The importance of #threadstorms

To be honest, threads did not excite me as I am a long format content writer. However, I understood being part of other crypto communities that creating twitter thread style content are the latest trend.

I complete #zealy quests assigned by Crescent Network Dex team, and they don’t give points for making long format articles, they instead give points for creating threadstorms in twitter explaining about their platform.

Therefore, weather I like it or not, we got to evolve, so I already started making twitter threadstorms summarising my long format articles I wrote about Crescent, Cosmos & other Cosmos Defi platforms to complete Crescent assigned #zealy quests.

I did not even know that it’s called a #threadstorm but now I know, having completed lots of threadstorm #zealy quests for Leofinance.

#threadstorm tag was trending on the right just few days ago when users were active creating #threadstorm completing #leofinance their #threadstorm zealy quest

So, that’s one thing I learnt using Leofinance Threads platform.

Eventually, I started making #threadstorms to promote my long format content on Leofinance Threads.

Earning social tokens for threading good morning wishes - GM tokens

Another thing, I understood is that social tokens are there with #gmfrens threads where you wish GM (good morning) to everyone earning GM tokens.

This was something very unique, I was very late to the game but I must have got some GM tokens as I made #gmfrens threads to complete LeoFinance #zealy quests.

Later when #gmfrens quest was removed too I continued to writing #gmfrens threads because users said wishing them a good morning made them smile. Wow!! Powerful stuff for doing something so simple(: . Anyway.

It’s good to make people pepped up wishing them a good day on Leo Finance threads platform. I realised that.

The GM tokens are called social tokens. I am not very acquainted with this sort of tokens but it incentivizes people to engage meaningfully in social media.

Food threads incite readers interest

I also understood that Leofinance threads #web3 platform has a global audience so even the usual food you cook interests them. Food is a good subject to thread on, it interests users.

So, I made food recipe threadstorms on making Mushroom Soup, Brinjal curry & Rasam. This got good engagement compared to threadstorm I made on Crescent platform & on a popular regional movie.

I was also surprised somebody did not know what jackfruit is(: , so the normal, usual thing in your country can interest others from other countries, because it’s something new for them.

I don’t have many interesting topics to thread about but people loved my cats, pictures of cat Garu sleeping, or of my dog friends drove engagement.

I believe as a cat person & a dog person, I really can connect with others around the globe whatever their culture. A picture of them on threads and a account of them on #threadstorms gets good engagement.

Using threads to promote your long format posts on Leofinance

I was so upset, when Leofinance changed to threads short form version because I am a long format crypto writer, & I felt Leofinace is pushing me out. However, that was not true.

One can post long format content on LeoFinance, like this one and I completed weekly #Writer Zealy quests writing long format content on Leofinance.io platform promoting it on twitter & LeoFinance threads. The result of this was I got votes from @leo.voter(:

Generally, even for posting crypto or finance content I use eccency because posting on Leofinance did not get me votes or engagement but this time my two recent articles got solid curation & upvotes. It felt good.

I had started supporting the LeoFinance ecosystem by powering up LEO . So, this helped me also to get support with curation.

Completing #Writer quests on #Zealy too earned me curation support on LeoFinance. Ofcourse, this is besides the fundamental fact that my articles are of good quality ofcourse(..

The need for a decentalised #web3 #microblogging platform

We need a #web3 microblogging platform, and Leofinance has delivered it. Sure, it’s work in progress (as the platform needs to improve further for mass aoption) but it's there.

Twitter has been great , but as a Web3, crypto person I believe we should have a microblogging platform like Leofinance threads.

The reasons should be obvious - Centureship resistance, as on twitter your account & tweets can be deleted, if you happen to tweet on unfavourble subjects criticising your country Government policy for instance, it’s happened. There are restrictions on your freedom of speech on twitter.

Leofinance rewards users for engaging threads

Besides this, creating engaging threads rewards you with Leo tokens(: … Leo becomes a social token, in twitter you won’t get rewarded for tweeting. There is good motivation to make engaging threads in Leofinance.

Ofcourse, with Leofinance built on Hive Blockchain it’s decentralised, as nodes manage and validate transactions, there is not that central point of failure that web2 platforms like twitter have running on a centralised server.

Thread creators own and control their data as well, rather than it being in control of centralised entities.

The reason why Leofiance is Centureship resistant is because its run by multiple nodes, so its decentralised.

Microblogging appeal will onboard more users to Leofinance

Alright, what can I say more. Leofinace is everyapp supporting microblogging short content & long format content as well, it’s a everything app.

I believe adoption will increase in the future & that’s a good reason
to be bullish on $Leo. Leofinace team has already created DEFI platforms for Hive and Leo Finance users to earn yield using the assets they earned on the platform, which is itself cool.

Now, Leofinance embracing #microblogging is actually cool for today’s generation who prefer short content. It makes content more appealing for them.

Play of the new revamped Leo tokenomics on $leo’s price

$Leo tokenomics has got a revamp as well with the team planning on buying Leo tokens from ads on this platform & using it to buy more Leo, rewarding those Leo to those who powered up their Leo.

A portion of $LEO will be burned so as to decrease supply of the tokens. Leo’s prices in the long run should go up.

My motivation to keep threading on LeoFinance(:

Well, zealy quests have ended but I still would use Leofinance threads to promote the articles I wrote on. Share with everyone pictures of my cats and dog friends to cheer you all up and wish everyone a good day, good morning and all that.

I am no celebrity, I have no fans still I like to connect with people on things I am passionate about - crypto, cats, sometimes food recipes. However, my cats and my dog friends I know have fans, they will show up a lot on my threads on Leofiance.

So, there’s a new addition to my Hive life with Leofinance threads, it compliments my long format crypto articles, and other articles I may write on cats, dogs, travel, book reads, movie & life in general which is very cool.

Thanks all. Thankyou Leofinance team as well, I missed out on Defi products the team launched, atleast I got on this #web3 microblogging brandwagon. I will surely, promote this platform to other web3 communities I am associated with whenever I can.
