The Journey East Begins | The Freedom of Less
✨"Oh, and as a woman, make-up & toiletries can be their own baggage. When I was “nesting”, I had that habit of collecting shades and such. But now, I have to let them all go and stick to what’s truly essential. From quite a of things to this is quite an achievement on its own. I know, I’ll manage anyway." @macchiata
Adapt to new circumstances and figure things out

✨"This process has never been easy. There are days when I wake up feeling very anxious, thinking about a thousand things I need to do to have a better, more stable source of income. However, due to the situation in the country where I live, this is not entirely possible. So it's futile to spend too many days feeling bad and frustrated, because honestly, I can't fix it." @jemima1996
The Peace I Found In Solitude

✨"Change can be scary. It can even feel depressing at first, until you fully embrace it. The beauty of absence is only seen and appreciated after change has taken place.
Bad habits, bad relationships, environmental and mental clutter, guilty pleasures, these are the few negative things we often find difficult to let go of. But when we finally release them, we experience a deep and positive shift in our lives." @phyna
Are we misinterpreting the “minimalist aesthetic” in the wrong way?

✨"Back then, when I thought of minimalism, I somehow always associated it with “own nothing”. Not specifically nothing, but the ideal idea is always having less. That perspective grew in me for a reason. Because if we search for “minimalism” on youtube for example, the video thumbnails that appear mostly show like an empty room (let say with less than 10 items) or anything with white color indicating a certain level of cleanliness of a place, anything like that–you know all that jazz." @slowjournals
Silencing The Noise

✨"I didn’t know how much I was addicted to the social media space, especially the one called Instagram. Oh, it is filled with the latest gist, latest trend, latest gossip about celebrities' lifestyle, latest owners of big and luxurious things of life, latest dance trends all the way from TikTok, the next potential celebrity, the ones who would pretend to have what they don’t and a lot more, but at least it entertaining… to me." @storygoddess
What do we fill our personal album with?

✨"I remember that when I was 15, I was given a photo album, but since I didn't have any photos of my own at the time, for some strange reason, I used the album to fill it with pictures of actors and singers that I cut out of magazines. Years later, while going through some old belongings, I found the album filled with faded images that meant nothing to me, so I took each of those images out of the magazines and began filling it again with photographs that were meaningful to me." @nancybriti1
EMPTY HANDS, OPEN FUTURE

✨"When things that are not necessary are gone, it gives room for us to make space for what truly matters. What remains is the yearning for what is to come and making the most of what is already available. The beauty of absence can make one feel empty at first, but that is a good time to think about things and help you see life in a clearer and different view." @hopestylist
About those 304 days and the power of a bicycle

✨"Any advice you’d give to someone feeling overwhelmed
This time, the advice came from my soul. My soul spoke to me after I publicly shared how I felt about turning 45… I, a university graduate who, since finishing in 2003, has done nothing but scrape by—who never even got the chance to travel as a journalist or photojournalist to cover an event abroad, to take a little trip around the world like I saw my colleagues do. And I graduated in 2003, I repeat." @nanixxx
THE BEAUTY IN LETTING GO

✨"Whenever I get overwhelmed by the noise online, I take a step back to breathe again. The break usually spans from two weeks to a month. During these breaks, I realise how peaceful it can be to be away from the screen and endless scrolling. What remains after the absence of social media for me is authenticity, peace and time for more meaningful activities and real-life interactions. Not to forget, a healthy sleeping schedule and zero migraines. The absence reminds me of what truly matters and the whys behind my actions. I call it a detox." @nugwaa

Some additional tips
🔸 The community encourages authors to engage and build rapport with other team members by leaving meaningful comments.
🔸 If possible, we recommend that authors try to use original photos taken by you. Photos count toward the possibility of your post being curated.
🔸 Just a reminder that the weekly #KISS Blog Ideas is presented with ideas on topics to write about and to help you to structure your blogs; they are not meant to be questionnaires for you to list information and publish.
🔸 The presentation of your blog goes a long way, and sharing aspects of your lives and your personal stories and experiences should be a lot more than a list that can be found in various places over the web.
🔸 You do not need to wait or only blog in response to the prompts provided. You're free to share any aspect of your minimalist lifestyle at any time.

Thank you for checking out the #MoreOrLessTheBest Curation Compilation presented by The Minimalist. This is the new official community account, where the weekly #KISS Blog Ideas and all community events and activities will be published.
I invite you all to get involved and share your stories about minimalism, and perhaps you would like to invite someone.
