It's More or Less the Best Curation Compilation.jpg

The Minimalist community presents It's More or Less the Best, a curation compilation highlighting some outstanding blogs published over the past week.

These selected authors shared their personal stories and views on different aspects of their minimalist lifestyle, giving some insight into what the style of living involves.

This compilation is presented to help shine the spotlight on the selected posts, with the hope that you will take a look at them in case you missed any.

Outstanding Minimalist Blogs in no particular order.

Cleanin' Out My Closet

✨"I was looking forward to doing a deep house cleaning, attracting good vibes, purifying the spaces, and preparing for Spring (which, given the warm weather, seems to have already arrived here in the South).
In just over two years of living alone, I've senselessly accumulated all kinds of clothes and accessories, frequently giving in to the temptation of buying excessively at secondhand markets with such tempting prices." @faunobrujo

Important gifts don't come wrapped in paper

✨"Giving and receiving gifts is one of the customs that I keep in time. Since I was a child, I have loved to receive gifts, but I also love to give them. I feel very excited to awaken joy in others, to show my affection through a meaningful detail. For me, giving gifts is a beautiful experience that fills me a lot." @nancybriti1

The Art of Gifting.

✨"Gifting friends and loved ones always comes easy to me because I'm not just a keen listener but a keen listener who remembers every detail. Most of the time, people randomly or unconsciously voice out their wants, needs and even wishes during conversations, and this is usually the best time to take mental notes. This way, we take a peek at what the person in question may actually like or not." @wongi

Why Are You Buying Brand New Furniture?

✨"Fast furniture might seem cheap and tempting, but we really have to weigh that against the real cost. Did you know that every year Australians through out 30,000 tons of commercial and office furniture, the majority of it going to landfill? In places like Sydney, households throw out 24kg of wooden furniture every year. In Tassie, the tip at South Hobart sees 50,000 tonnes of low-quality, flat-pack furniture - laminate and chipboard that's hard to recycle. " @riverflows

My Five Rules for Minimalist Living

✨"Rules are very important in a person's life, especially the ones that guide a person to peace or good conduct and respect. When we were children, our parents created rules for us that helped to guide us to become better adults. Now that we've grown, we also make our own rules." @madilyn02

A good time to say “bye 👋”

✨"I am not the laptop freak type. I am used to my mobile, but there came a time when I needed to get some work done, and my only way out was to use a laptop. I was left with no choice but to buy it. After buying it, I gradually started to find a reason to keep myself actively using the laptop till I got accustomed to it." @abdul-qudus

The Joy Of Less : Positive Effects Of Minimalism

✨"Minimalism has helped my fashion life. Not having to worry about what to wear all the time helps me get ready on time and doesn't make me disorganised. I have some go-to dresses that fit every occasion, and it has been helping me a lot. I don't change my wardrobe all the time, but when I do, I ensure that I get dresses that I would be able to wear from time to time. This is why thrift stores are my favourite places to buy from." @rukkie

Simple Gifts That Speak Love Deeply

✨"Gift giving is one of the five love languages and the most loved one too. Giving gifts is such an amazing way to show just how deeply you care about someone. I mean, think about it. There are certain gifts we would expect from certain people, and the gifts show how important the relationship between the gifter and receiver is." @zitalove

Less, But Better

✨"I mostly get things like a good pair of black jeans, free gowns, a white shirt or a basic top and a jacket. You know, clothes that can transition from casual to formal if they have to. I have also figured that I no longer have this overwhelming feeling of trying to decide what to wear each morning. Dressing has become simpler, faster and somehow, more “me." @teknon

A view so different

✨"Embracing minimalism as a lifestyle has left me viewing the world differently. Here, I’m learning to live. I’m finally accepting that not everything deserves the amount of energy I invest in it. Some things require soft pauses, some require the enthusiasm they get, and some deserve next to no reaction. Why? Because they aren’t worth it, actually. " @oluchi31

Some additional tips

🔸 The community encourages authors to engage and build rapport with other team members by leaving meaningful comments.

🔸 If possible, we recommend that authors try to use original photos taken by you. Photos count toward the possibility of your post being curated.

🔸 Just a reminder that the weekly #KISS Blog Ideas is presented with ideas on topics to write about and to help you to structure your blogs; they are not meant to be questionnaires for you to list information and publish.

🔸 The presentation of your blog goes a long way, and sharing aspects of your lives and your personal stories and experiences should be a lot more than a list that can be found in various places over the web.

🔸 You do not need to wait or only blog in response to the prompts provided. You're free to share any aspect of your minimalist lifestyle at any time.

Thank you for checking out the #MoreOrLessTheBest Curation Compilation presented by The Minimalist. This is the new official community account, where the weekly #KISS Blog Ideas and all community events and activities will be published.
I invite you all to get involved and share your stories about minimalism, and perhaps you would like to invite someone.
