Outstanding Minimalist Blogs in no particular order.

Can we travel across the world with only 7kg baggage?

✨"I remember it well. I was 23, and I had just returned home from my first-ever backpacking trip. I'd spent 2 months meandering through Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Laos as a solo traveller who wanted to see the world.
The moment I walked in my mother's front door, I ceremoniously dumped my oversized, bulging, 30kg pack on the floor.
"I'm never taking anything that big overseas ever again." @consciouscat

Minimalism, shaping me into a better self

✨"I connect with those people who can help me in different ways, and it’s not necessary to help me financially. I don’t love to connect with those people who talk unnecessarily, waste time, and think about others' business rather than focusing on their own. I don’t have a large circle of friends, but I have a few best friends who always support me and correct me if I do something wrong." @intishar

The most important things remain here

✨"My emotions overwhelm me, mainly imagining what she might be feeling. It is difficult to see someone you love experiencing pain, discomfort, or fear, especially when you can't do anything about it. But even in this situation, visiting her in the hospital reminded me of something important, and that is that there are things, even in illness, that are more important than the illness itself." @jemima1996

Liberated

✨"The decluttering happened on a weekend, and in the week that followed, I felt this peace that I have never experienced in my life. I woke up on a Monday morning, preparing for work, and as I stretched my hand to reach out for the things I wanted, I got them. First in history. I didn’t have to push through about 50 hangers to search for a top. I didn’t have to open so many drawers to find one earring. It felt like I finally had control of my life, and everything was peaceful. And somehow, my mind had no pile of thoughts. Everywhere was calm. Oh, and I was very productive at work too." @abenad

Hitting rock bottom allows us to start over...

✨"Venezuelans had to reinvent the word resolver: baking soda or lemon was used as toothpaste and deodorant, detergent was used for washing, washing dishes, but also as shampoo for hair. A package of milk was a luxury, and if we managed to buy it, we used it with a sense of scarcity. Every coin that fell into our hands was used for what was essential: we prioritised the truly indispensable, leaving aside the trivial and superfluous." @nancybriti1

Deal breaker

✨"Do you sell bags and shoes?" I asked as I picked up some cartons of shoes from the chair and table. The cartons looked so new.
"Sell keh? They're mine," she responded boldly.
"All these are yours? When do you wear them to church? Because I know I haven't seen you with this colour of bag," I asked as I picked an ash bag that didn't look nice at all, at least to me.
"You see this one, this one, that one, and those over there—I haven’t used them for many years,"* she said, making sure to point at different cartons of shoes and bags in various corners. "And some of them, I just used once and lost interest." @kingsleyy

Not Perfect but it Works!

✨"When I was in my teens, someone way older than me in years told me that all I was experiencing that seemed like the end of the world would be nothing but insignificant as I get older. He said I would be able to discern what was important and what was not. As a result, my life would be way easier, and I wouldn’t need to be in such a hurry. I don’t know if I believed him then, but I am seeing it now." @deraaa

Simple mindfulness

✨"I won't say I have a strict mindfulness routine, maybe others do. I'm not practising meditation every day, and sometimes I also have troubling thoughts cluttering. But minimalism is a work in progress, and it's like a gentle teacher that keeps reminding me every day to slow down, notice my surroundings and breathe deeply." @madilyn02

30 Days Without Junk Foods

✨"I was at a family friend's home some days ago, and then I was served a meal, it was wheat and Melon stew. I had my first pinch of it and then felt an odd taste from the stew. I knew something was missing. It doesn’t taste like usual. I had to keep my composure and make sure I finished it up. Then I questioned them about why it tasted different. They told me that they don't add seasonings to their soup. But why?? It wasn’t that bad; it would have tasted better with seasonings in it." @abdul-qudus

Jack of All Trade, Master of All or None?

✨"I still think it’s a blessing to have options, to be able to shift from writing SEO content to doing nails (which, by the way, I was known for back in uni), or even to explore voice-over work, something I’ve only dabbled in but enjoy. If one door closes, I’m not stranded. There’s always something else I can do." @whatmidesays

Some additional tips

🔸 The community encourages authors to engage and build rapport with other team members by leaving meaningful comments.

🔸 If possible we recommend that authors try to use original photos taken by you. Photos count toward the possibility of your post being curated.

🔸 Just a reminder that the weekly #KISS Blog Ideas is presented with ideas on topics to write about and to help you to structure your blogs, they are not meant to be questionnaires for you to list information and publish.

🔸 The presentation of your blog goes a long way and sharing aspects of your lives and your personal stories and experiences should be a lot more than a list that can be found in various places over the web.

🔸 You do not need to wait or only blog in response to the prompts provided. You're free to share any aspect of your minimalist lifestyle at any time.

Thank you for checking out the #MoreOrLessTheBest Curation Compilation presented by The Minimalist. This is the new official community account, where the weekly #KISS Blog Ideas and all community events and activities will be published.
