Hit Hard, Hit Often

This is a phrase that I often say. You don't need to work hard all the time, sometimes you gotta take a break and relax, go slow. But when it's time to go in full force, you can't sit idle, you must act wisely and hit hard, with all the force you can. At least, that's what my ideology is about doing something.

Like, in my workplace, i was assigned with a task, to debug a problem that my senior was struggling with, need fresh eyes and minds to look for possible solutions. Both of us were tied with this from 9 to 5 pm straight. It wasn't my department to look at, still I did because they knew i had the thirst to learn these tech stacks, also I had the ability to debug for possible solutions. Meanwhile, the others employed from the same department were asking questions about the task. Another queried, “Why don't they try to do this? Why aren't they going for the backend architecture?” They had no satisfactory answer.

This was the moment when I was trying to hit, for bigger gains, for grabbing the learning opportunities, to prove my worth. These are the visible impacts of my hard work and growth that are very rare to showcase in crucial moments like ours, right now.

I never say “NO” to anything on my first glance, rarely. I try to poke around, do my best, over and over again unless or until I realize that I have tried beyond my capability with no stones unturned.

So about the task I have mentioned in the beginning. I wrote that part yesterday, and had gone mad while trying to solve that problem. But today, I finally did that. To be honest, I was completely indifferent about the concept, learned on the fly, lol. Nowadays, with the help of AI, things got pretty easier when you have tons of queries to deal with. To me, he is the guy, who knows pretty much everything, its on us how we are communicating to extract exactly what we want. The manual digging has now been automated via AI. I have always said, “AI wont take your job but someone using AI effectively would surely take away the job.” Trust me or not, this is the ultimate TRUTH. I know the bad sides of AI but the good ones are heavier to compare with for me right now.

So these moments, the tiny little perfect timings, that lingers with an opportunity comes surprisingly before us to act accordingly. Often or always, I am ready to do the hard work because I know the growth is nowhere but here, with proper dedication and time. In future, the learning curve gets stalled, isn't effective like now, the beginning.
