Good Time Fades Away
After a long time, the family gatherings took place. For the last few days, I and my family have been attending invitations to our relatives' houses one after another. Maybe today was the end of this phase. Such family gatherings are so enjoyable that I can't explain in words, it's been a long that we have attended any invitations due to some reasons, but now, feeling alive again among the relatives.
Almost a week ago, we celebrated one of our biggest festivals, Eid-ul-fitr. Many relatives who stayed in another city came back to their roots. Looks like I haven’t written any Eid blog this year. Actually, I was so busy with the family that I couldn't do that here. Well, it was a good one, perfect day. Woke up early in the morning and took a shower, got ready to go to Eidgah with my father and cousins. Before going out, we had some desserts. Every year, I do miss my big uncle, who is no more. I do remember that from my childhood till my teenage, I used to go first to help him come with us. He is not with us anymore but this memory will never fade away.
We performed our Eid prayers in an open field that we call Eidgah with almost thousands of people, this wasn’t the biggest but big enough in our locality. The day passed via short visits to a few relative's houses, eating delicious foods, and giving and receiving salami (money as a token of love from the elders to the younger). It was a festive day, the younger ones enjoyed the day the most.
After Eid day, we invited all our relatives to our house, they accepted our invitation and we offered some hospitality at our best for them. And the same continued for them as well, they too invited us, one another, keeps rotating in a cycle where lots of other relatives get added too. These are the moments of joy and beauty in life. We human beings can't live without one another, our relatives, friends and neighbors. So to strengthen our bonding, we gotta be humble, and respectful, and create such enjoyable moments for sure.
This year, these few days of Eid vacation were pretty enjoyable and memorable. I am expecting my final exams in a few days, keep me in your prayers. I guess this is the moment of the day to put a full stop to enjoyment and get started on my syllabus. I know the exams are knocking at the door and it is already late to respond, now that I have realized the matter so I am gonna work on my plans and make my way through that.
Have a great day,
Keep me in your prayers.
The best part about Eid, in my opinion is the food, the happiness and the colorful attires. My Muslim friends always look extra stunning during this time. I always find pleasure sharing in the joy.
Festivals like Eid celebrations are ways to get family members together. My family and I also went to visit my aunt. We all had fun and it was good to see her and her family again after a very long time. I hope we get to do this every year be because we don’t
