Art of Wasting Time

Tomorrow is my exam, the final exams are. going on, nothing fancy. As you know, we the students love to complete our whole syllabus just the previous night of the exam. It's 3:45 am, I just got up from my chair. Not a good thing to stay awake for such a long time at night, that too on the previous night of an exam. But what to do? Throughout the whole day, my concentration gets scattered thousands of times. During nights, I feel like, “Okay, everything is sorted out, let's focus on myself.”

Just like in the old times, sat with a mug of coffee, and had nothing to do. This is the best shot for me to keep me focused. The result is here, I am still awake with no urge to sleep and that's why writing this so that the time gets utilized and in the meantime, the bell to sleep gets rang.

Okay, lemme tell you how I fall for the traps that hamper my concentration.

You know what, on my PC I have five to six browsers that I use continuously. All of them are set up with different sets of accounts for different purposes. One for my social media things, one for crypto, one for cybersecurity, one for miscellaneous stuff and so on. why? Just not to get distracted by others while working on a specific area. But I don't know why my fingers itch a lot and click on other browsers rather than the one I am working/studying on. Go to forums, blog posts, social media, and so on. Suddenly I would realize and immediately exit from the browser and these things keep continuing one after another.

A friend is stuck with a verification problem and is asking me to help. Tried to help through the phone but it was going over his head. Was requesting me to help in person, but was denying it as it would eat a chunk of my time still, I ended up going out to help and guess what, it lasted more than an hour, nearly two. See? I should have postponed this for tomorrow, after the exam but I couldn’t say “No.” This is how things go.

I suck at time management. After spending countless hours in the daytime, I have been struggling to revise at night and thanks to the coffee it came to me as a necessary evil. Helped me with my attention and now left me sleepless. Should I keep aside my phone and try to sleep? Already tried that, the hot weather makes that unbearable as well. Okay, let's try again, setting the alarm for exactly 5 hours from now, I have tons of topics left to cover, so keep me in your prayers.

Have a great day,
Take Care.

I think in the exam time you should not be distracted. In my case, I prepare for my exam before exam time arrives and it doesn't give me a lot of stress in the exam time. I just hope that everything will go well for you. Best of luck.

Heheh
This happens to me very well. When I want to read, that’s when I do remember that there are other things I want to do and then I end up wasting my time. Lol
