Cat Surprise Photoshoot
Cats can be stubborn, and they don't necessarily make the best models because they only do what they feel like. I'm not sure if it's a spite or pride thing, but that's just how these majestic creatures operate. So when my mate alerted me to this Bengal cat recuperating on the neighbour's Porsche, I quickly grabbed my lens and did some quick snaps.
I was first shooting from my window a level above, and I took the risk of sneaking up as light toes as my cat Bob does, and I snapped him (I think it's a male cat) from behind.
I was pleased with this shot, which shows his whiskers and alert ears, eyes, and beautiful unique coat.
My cat Bob hates him, and whenever he comes into the yard she growls and snares at him, and this is the look he gives her as if to say...
"Hey mate, what's wrong with you? I'm out in the wild, you don't own this place."
Bengal cats are not common here, and I think he has an exotic look. It's lovely to watch his long legs, as he moves slick and elegant across the yard.
It was interesting watching the movement of his ears when I got close to him. They went from back, in fear, to a relaxed forward stance when he saw that I wasn't there to scare him away.
Still, as he crossed the street wandering into my yard, I could hear Bob growling at her, and Bob is vocal and dramatic and gets mad at me if she sees me affectionate with another cat.
Bob sure knows how to give me the cold shoulders and she desperately does everything to show that she's sulking and vexing.
The lighting was a bit harsh here, yet it adds dimensions, vitality, and fierceness to his like that of a big cat. Yet he seems to be mild and just needs time to get to know me.
I love his entire look, and it's fascinating to watch his ears. He's alert as all cats are, and once he was aware of my presence he made an escape under the car and over the fence, which my cat Bob was pleased about.
Cats love nice places and I guess he saw the Porsche and thought, "Hmm, that's good enough for me."
This impromptu cat photoshoot was the sunshine on my cloudy day. I'll keep an eye out for him, although he does not seem impressed with Bob's recipient whenever he comes around.
Territorial, jealous, and insecure cats, heh?
Happy Caturday Peeps 😻

Many times out on delivery I will stop to feed the ferals that hang out behind the businesses where many of the loading docks (and dumpsters) are located.
I have never seen one in the wild that awesome and clean and healthy looking.
I must be kept by someone nearby who lets it roam wild. That always makes me sad. Statistics on an inside kept house cat are 15 yrs. Average lifespan. Outdoor wild ferals only last an average of 5 yrs.
Such a great photo shoot. Made my morning also. Throw it a few 🍗 scraps of food and watch how quickly you become a trusted friend next time. 😉
That Bengal cat has been around for a few years, but I'm not sure which house he lives at.
Haha! I would love for him to feel comfortable and hang around, but Bob is NOT having that at all. There's another black and white cat, that massive. I was a kid to her and she warmed up, but after that, she started attacking Bob. Bob went into depression and became afraid to outside for a week.

We had to get this water pistol to keep the black and white away.
She still comes over and provokes Bob by rolling in the garden as if saying "This is my manor" because she has been in the neighbourhood long before Bob.
It's amazing to observe them and see how similar their behaviour is to humans.🙄
Gorgeous visitor, nice captures of stunning cat.
Thank you 😊
I felt lucky to see him:)))
Cats whiskers, I would be too. What a looker!
😻 Stunning, indeed!
Majestic creatures that I could look at all day 😆😊
Will be back perhaps he got good vibes 🐱
I think he has his seasons. I used to see him daily and then my cat Bob started to chase him out of her garden and he disappeared for a long time.
I think he'll be back and if I sneak and give him some of Bob's treats. Maybe then he'll grace me with his presence regularly 😽
Who knows with time perhaps the two will become friends 😉
Hehe! #WishfulThinking 😉
😻 A lovely creature!... And it looks almost wild!... Beautiful animal... Every cat is always good news! - I have seven! :))

How is Loki?
He's just...so him!
Acting like he's the king of the world ,🤣🤣 especially around our four little kittens. (Our cat brought home her kittens, after 2.5 months 😅)
So now, he kind of acts bossy. 😎
Oh, WoW! Just like a king, indeed.
He's so adorable. I could stare at him all day 😻
It must be nice to have other kittens too, and it's great that they get along, even if Loki makes them know that's he's the boss 😆😊
Yeah...he's a beautiful cat. He's so different from all other cats we've had..
We always had multiple cats around home.
One time, we had 14 cats 😅😅. Loki chased away five or them. All males.
At the moment, we have 4 more (besides Loki) + the kittens. They're called Molly, Dolly, Sally and Honey, mom of the kittens.
And the kittens are Sony, Mickey, Mushroom and Misy. My son named them all 😅😅.
Anyways, we are a family that adore cats. Same as you 🥰
Sending you hugs from Romania 🥰
Oh, my! What lovely names. It makes me eager to meet them all.
😅 That's so typical.
I love cats so much that I could wake up and play with them all day long.😍
Your household sounds like a happy place 😘
Sending you hugs from the UK 🤗
Hahaha. I will make a post about our four kittens. Yeah. I should do that. 😆
Every time we go outside, there's at least one cat around. It would be too lonely without cats. And I wish for at least one more bengal female cat and a grey one. 😁
The grey one, I want it because I had a cat named Kitty. She was love of my life. But she died. And I promised myself this life I will have another Kitty again. Maybe I mentioned about her sometimes, in our exchanded comments about cats. 😁😁
(Here's a photo of Kityy).

Oh, what a beauty Kitty was, Her colour and stunning green eyes. My my! A grey female Bengal cat would be a great addition to the family, indeed.
Wow! So special 😍❤️
She was, Yes! 💙
Thats why I want another one, like her. But she was special because of her character. My bonding with her was different, special, compared with any cat I ever had. And I had dozens. 😁😂.
Since I was little, I dont think it was a moment in my life not having a cat 🤔😻
That's really sweet.💙
What kind of cat was she? She's prettier than a Russian Blue.😊
I dont know. At the beginning, I thought she's a Russian blue too, but after doing my research, I realized she's not.
As you said, she's prwttier than a RB. 😅
I found her on the streets, at 6 mo old. I'm guessing she was just a grey regular cat, said the vet. Either way, she was my lifetime cat soul mate. 😪😪
Do you know whats the saddest? Me and my husband moved to a new house and she remained to the old one. I had my baby and I wasnt ready for an indoor cat. And I couldnt just bring her here and let her outside. But we visited the old house regularly, every day. All the family, not just me and husband. She wasnt really alone. Plus, she was with other 2 cats of hours. They're still there now. But I do think she missed us.
Anyways, after one year, we decided is time to move her with us. We went to the house, I called her desperate, she usually would come very quickly. After half an hour, there she is. But she came sick..she was really bad.
And she died the next day.
My heart broke. I wanted her here so much. I imagined the moment she would come home so many times! And when I felt its time, she died. I was really devastated. I cried for months....😅
I was 💔. I'm almost crying now. Lol.
In fact, I had a "tentative" to move her here one month before having Caleb. She stayed with us 3 days. And then, because I had some problems, I had to give birth sooner than expecting. So I took her back to the old house.
Anyways, sorry for this late reply. Maybe u dont have time to read all this long epistola. 😅😅
Yes, the Russian Blue have a flat sulky face 😅
What a story about your lovely Kitty. I think you made the right decision to leave her at the house where she was happy. It's such a pity that she fell ill. That must have been the most painful thing. Cats can touch our lives in special ways that leave memories engraved in us. 😍🤗
I'm sorry to hear that you suffered that way, and fingers crossed you'll find another one like her to love ❤️
Thats fine. Now I'm ok. 😁🥰
And yes, maybe I'll have a cat like her to love. 🥰 someday.
Thank you for you lovely replies. Appreciate it!
Hugs hugs hugs 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Big hugs to you too 😍😘😊❤️
Thank you Ewkaw and the @qurator team.
Have a lovely #Caturday 😻
Happy #Caturday :)
😻 Meow 🤗
I think what this exotic-looking cat was trying to say to Bob with her eyes is, "The audacity to think that you own this turf." Lol
But this cat certainly is beautiful. Look at that lovely fur.
That's right! 😆
I think there's a "cat rumour" that Bob loves cats because many cats come to chill in her garden every day and she goes mental.
I see the hurt in Bob's eyes if I don't run the other cats. Bob is so expressive and calculating. She's like a little person 😍
Well it must be nice having your own possessive little being. Now now, Milly. Don't go making Bob feel jealous.
Aww, this is all so cute.😆
No, Bob takes it personally if I show kindness to any other cat. Bob then avoids me for days 😆
It fills my days with laughter to see how they operate 😂
The cat is elegant and so beautiful. Not to mention - having exquisite taste as well. The cat knows its place and Bob certainly does too.😀
Nice cat shoot.
Thank you 😊
I was deluded and thought that Bob would enjoy seeing other cats come by. I thought they would play all afternoon. Oh, was so wrong. Bob is mild-natured, but when she sees another cat, gosh, she's a tigress... and she tail balloons so huge 😆😍
I like the fur of your cat... He looks cute as well ☺️
Nice shots! !LADY

Hello dear friend @millycf1976 good day
I don't remember having personally seen a Bengali cat, I was impressed by its beauty.
A very photogenic patient and gentle pet, he posed calmly so you could take beautiful shots
I appreciate you sharing this encounter experience
Enjoy the weekend, I hope it stops raining so you can go for a walk in nature
He's very elegant, indeed!
The first time I ever saw a Bengal cat was on a train. A lady sat down, and he casually climbed out of her bag, ate something, looked around, communicated with her for a bit, and then went back inside her bag. I was fascinated.
I'm still stuck inside, and waiting... :)))
From what you mentioned what happened on the trip, they are very dociel cats, I hope to see one in person one day, they are very beautiful
Enjoy an exquisite coffee dear friend @millycf1976 while the rain calms
Yes, that's the impression I get, and it makes them even more intriguing 😻
If I had one, I'd spend all day petting it 😆
Beautiful marking on the cat. Looks very majestic.
Your cat sounds like my cat. She hates other cats and does the same when they come around.
Indeed!
It's hilarious to see Bob chasing him away as if she doesn't see how long his legs are.
I grew up having so many cats at once, that I didn't realise just how territorial they are until I encountered Bob. It's amusing to watch Bob's quick switch of personalities when she sees another cat in her garden. The sounds she makes are scary and funny at the same time. Bob surely knows how to deliver an epic telling off 😹
What a beauty!! If I would have a Porche... I would let this cat sleep on it, whenever it wants to do it. I would even open the doors of it, he could sleep on the front seat hahah! How exotic cat! Simply love it!
He's a mesmerising creature 😍
Haha! That's so true. Now I know, if I ever become a billionaire, I'll get a Bengal cat and buy a car just like that for it 🙃😆
Fingers crossed for this 🤞
😆
😆😂
Yes, fingers and toes 🤣
If I look from the outside it looks like a tiger, yes indeed its skin looks like a tiger. But when I went inside, there was a cute cat. Really, this is the first time I see a cat of this color, in our area we have a lot of black cats. Regards!
Yeah, they look like a cross between tigers and leopards.
The only thing is that these cats are docile and they are pretty smart too from what I can see.
I like black cats too, and I know that black cats represent different things in different cultures. In Jamaica where I grew up, people see black cats as bad luck, while here in Europe, people love black cats and some other cultures think they bring good luck.
I love all cats 😻
Thanks for stopping by:)))
Cat is not one of the animals you will see in households here but they are really cool.
There is a majestic feature about them and it makes them look really attractive. You did a great job and I must say that every step or turn it made was a pose.
I didn't know they mark territories as well, Happy weekend.
I get that. I guess it's a bit like Jamaica where cats steal meat and fish from people's kitchens. 😂
Yes, they are majestic with lovely personalities, which make them good company (if they are in the mood).
Haha, my cat gets angry whenever another cat is on the compound. There's a cat next door who comes over to wind up my cat Bob, and in the mornings Bob goes outside to sniff to see if the cat was over on her territory 😆
Happy Weekend to you too:)))
Bob is not impressed

Hehe! Not impressed, but cute:)
Oh my, what a beauty! I never saw a Bengal in real life, unfortunately. But I'd love to meet one, they look so majestic! I bet that's why he sat on the Porsche as it's just his style!
Even though the light was a bit bad, I enjoyed the pictures <3

😆 I think so too.
I saw him walk across the garden for the first time a year ago, and I got excited thinking that my cat Bob would have been happy to see him. I also thought it meant that they would also play together in the garden. My, my! Was I wrong? Bob runs out of the house and growls at him, and Bob's tail becomes as big as a squirrel... The Bengal cat just looks at her as if to say "Calm down, will you?". It's hilarious.
Hahah, I can see it in front of my eyes reading this. Cats are such cool creatures and all have their own personality. It was the same here with Mochi, he got extremely angry when certain (big male cats who often fight with others) came near our window. Like, he was not having it and started to growl loud as well.
And then there were the ladies, who he allowed to get some water in front of our window and food if we put it there (there are so many strays, we help them by providing water as well as give some food). And lastly, there's a ginger cat who became his friend. As soon as he arrived, he started to cuddle me (lol, manipulative much?) and even purr (which he just learned only weeks before he died, sadly) and then he wanted to play outside with him.
They played for hours and it was so adorable to see. The other cat now sleeps in front of our window every day, to check out my ladies lol. But it was very noticeable he missed Mochi when he died. We keep feeding him because he has a special place in our hearts being Mochi's friend (not taking him in though lol)
Wow! What a beautiful photo that shows just how close and special to each other they were. I bet he missed him. We forget sometimes that animals mourn too.
I'll never cease to be amazed by cats' personalities, and their peculiarities in who they bond with.
It's great that you look after them and that you make good decisions on which ones to adopt🤗
That picture is how he sleeps in front of the window with our ladies, that's Maesi, she's still here thankfully. This is one of Mochi and Ginger (as we called him lol)
It's not the best picture but I have not sorted all my pictures yet so the good ones will pop up when I do.. They were chasing each other in the trees and stuff, very amusing to see.
And I have no doubt that they mourn, another of the female cats who come here is very scared (even more than Mochi was in the beginning) and the day he died, she knew because she came here to lay on the stairs in front of our window, I thought she was waiting for food or water, but when I put it there she stayed there. This was out of her normal behavior, looking back, also seeing how Ginger acted that afternoon, they already knew he was dead before us.
I've come to learn their behavior quite well over the past months. I don't want them to die from the heat so I feel responsible for providing water at least and I admit that I even buy separate bags of food for them, lol. But I can't take them in, our ladies already need more space so this is all we can have for now.
And it's important to take into account which ones are the ones you connect with. Maesi would have not been adopted if Mochi was still here, he hated her. Or he needed more time to get used to her, but I admit that at the time she was quite annoying still :) so I can't even blame him. She was much louder and now she calmed down a bit. But she grew on us and became really affectioned after he died, so it was the right thing to do, these ladies are so lovely together :)
Your photos touch me deeply, even if these are not the best quality. It's lovely to see two big cats chilling together at the back, and the two females together are adorable.
I think cats bring much happiness into our lives if we open our hearts to them ❤️
Thank you, and yes I agree. We said all these years in Budapest that we really need to have a cat at home. But we weren't allowed. I really missed it and I know it would have been good for my daughter during the pandemic which affected her social skills a lot. Now that we have them we say many times that everyone should have cats, how naughty they can be the joy they bring is much bigger. <3
That's a good point. Cats are therapeutic in many ways, and they connect with their owners in special ways different from how dogs do.
💯%
😍
Yeah it's for a reason they call the purring the healing vibration ...
Exactly!
You made my day:)))

😍😁
