An amazing week end on the mountains in Belluno, Italy

Last weekend was a detox weekend for me and Mary as we decided to accept the invite from a friend of mine to spend the weekend at his family’s house that he has on the mountains.

Place was magic: in the middle of nowhere, almost no internet connection, the chimney and the wooden heater to warm up the house.

I love these situations

I think I am not ready lo entirely live there but I appreciate them a lot to detach from routine and simply going in nature to breathe good air and exiting cities’ habits.

As a sign of gratitude for their hospitality, we brought some typical products from Reggio Calabria, where we had just received the “pack” full of vegetables and other local products from Mary’s parents.
Here below are “Morticeddi” that are traditional sweets made of sugar (a lot of sugar) and grinded almonds).

These sweets are traditional for the 1st November, which is the All Saints day, in Italy.

On Saturday morning we went on a walk, easy one.

Scenario was quite foggy but walking and walking we reached the first top of that mountain and we got blessed from the Sun. Here you can see also Mary :D

Eyes almost shut as the Sun was so vivid that day that we could barely keep eyes open (plus we were coming from a full morning of fog and darkness).

Here below, me and Angelo, talking deeply about why I started doing Yoga, all the related benefits and recalling the 10 years of friendship we have, that started back at University.

For lunch we decided to “grill stuffs”. Since I am fully vegetarian now, we decided to go altogether for vegetables, cheese and some polenta.

The weekend has been magic and blessed by the Full Moon which at 10pm on Saturday got also a partial eclipse.

It has been an amazing weekend: friendship with Angelo that we have been cultivating for more than 10 years even if we do not see that often, a great place, a great syntony also dealing with house-stuffs where everybody had some tasks to do, great and healing Yoga practices, amazing food, walks and talks.
