Adjusting your body weight with Yoga beyond the commercial slogans
That yoga is good for the physical body is certainly no mystery.
From muscle stretching, mindful relaxation, harmonizing even energy of specific or even extended physical areas.
And also from fatigue.

As much as some preconceptions attribute to Yoga of the simple function of gentle gymnastics, practicing Yoga consistently, varying Sadana perhaps under the guidance of a teacher can allow a real reshaping of the physical body.
Try to think for example of Talasana, which we have already discussed in this article. A seemingly simple posture in which you simply raise your arms.
After a few minutes of correct execution, we will begin to feel good dynamization of the shoulders and arms and indirect stimulation of the trunk area as well to provide stability to the physique.
Then there are other far more challenging postures, for which even holding the position for a minute can lead to intense dynamization of the physical body and important stimulation of large bodily areas.

What is often overlooked in the mention of Yoga as "toning" is the fact that not only through fatigue does Yoga go about toning, firming and harmonizing our physique.
Muscle stretching tones and releases any tension, allowing greater flow of energy. This peculiarity, is achieved through the immobility of the body in a position that goes precisely to lengthen muscles or stretch certain areas without necessarily including muscle activation (as in some practices of dynamization of the abdominal area).
Obviously, stretching, as in Padahastasana, can be perfectly achieved through perfect relaxation at the same time as stretching in order to promote a natural extension of the muscles or the affected area.
Another extremely beneficial effect of the Stretching exercises, is relaxation even at the level of the nerve centers, which relaxes tensions that are often continuous in the physical body, the potential cause of states of tension and agitation without a visible cause.

Apnea, especially "vacuum" apnea when conscious and focused, energizes the digestive system, also increasing the mobility of the diaphragm, improving breathing and thus metabolism.
Another benefit of apnea is for example, the deep relaxation that one comes to generate through perfect control of one's breathing capacity, reducing anxious forms as a result of breath awareness, becoming aware of one's limits and also trying to expand them, always in a condition of perfect physical and intellectual relaxation.
In fact, apnea, in addition to the physical benefits, has a great effect, which is to connect the sphere of intellect (mind) with the body. This is really a great achievement, because through a bodily practice that usually becomes easier and easier as time goes on, we can stimulate our mind and intellectual functions.
Suspension postures go on to progressively and harmoniously energize areas of the body. These asanas are often approached with a lot of effort at first (see, for example, Trikonasana, the triangle position), but once a good muscular dynamism is achieved, it becomes particularly relaxing, yet without losing effectiveness in the firming and toning effect.
