Stop supporting Toxic Influencers
Let's be honest, some people online are not worth the followers they get because they really manipulate a lot of people by teaching them the wrong things and also creating awareness of their negative attitudes.

Personally, I don't just follow any person until I see that this person has the potential to transform a lot of things around me, or have a positive influence on me. There is one thing I have noticed about this our generation which is that they tend to promote funny people that are not even worth to be promoted or worth the time, which is very wrong because then people we follow and tend to raise higher are the ones the next generation will really want to take advice from.
If I were to speak against social media, I won't call out social media, or cause a stop to social. Media, instead, I will speak against bad content and advice, because this is where the problem comes up, whereby most people promote people who are not worth it. I have even seen several influencers talking badly about another person spreading false news to the public, which has really affected a lot of us and also polluted our minds.

Social Media shouldn't be signed off on or banned; it should be corrected. There can really be a lot of transformations through social media, better than the negative aspects. I see social media as the future and a way, not just for communication but also to answer our day-to-day activities.
There is an interesting thing that makes social media special, which is our ability to follow and unfollow people we don't appreciate, and trust me, I really use this more often because I am always cautious of the importance that gets to my mind. After all, I know the mind can be polluted with false or negative information.
Just because someone is popular and has many followers doesn't mean the person has a positive influence on anybody; we need to be observant of the people we follow online. I am always careful of the people I follow online, which is why I strive to have a productive day most of the time.
I remember how one ifluencer, I wouldn't want to mention name almost corrupted my younger ones mind, telling them having sex before 18 years is good and it is common, which is very wrong, when he showed me the video, I immediately asked him to unfollow the person that it is a lie and she just need followers, I had to collect the phone and unfollow the page immediately.
I see social media as the future, so I will never speak negatively against it or call for it to be banned or blocked. All I will say is we should always be watchful of who we follow online and actively engage with the right people who speak positively and have a life-transforming influence on people.
