Reflecting On Why I Stopped Looking Up To My Mentors

It's true when people speak of the fact that the little things matter. I have always believed and looked up to my uncles and several of my dad's friends because they had unique and simple ways of life. My perspective about life, when I was a kid, was that a man should always wake up in the morning and go to work and come back late r at night and earn for the family at the end of the month to feed them, but growing up a lot of things change after a realize the value in everything.

One major reason why I looked up to my uncle was that each time we went to his place either during the festive period or holiday periods when he came back from work there were always some goodies to eat at home and I felt alive eating them, I thought of this as being a perfect life, whereby the Father is working, and wife is also working and earning big, failing to realize that there is more to this than I thought because when I started living my life as a single bachelor I felt the pressure, not even getting married I felt it.

If you look at these men from far you will feel they are living comfortably and very large because the wife has her comfortable car and the husband too has and they both live in a comfortable home but this is far deeper than we think, I thought this was life until I started seeing my friends earning large then I realize I still had a long journey to go, I still had a lot to achieve ahead.

Academic is important but having a good trend link up is more important. To get the standard rich we don’t need to follow educational standards we need to follow the trend and study it in our ways and also have the belief that this risk am taking will work out for us, hopefully, in the better days ahead.

The reason why I stopped looking at my uncles and mentors was that I realized that they were still very far from life but just a step ahead, he still had a lot to achieve and he was not comfortable because he didn’t have time for himself. I began to realize that I needed to get richer and richer. Then I was still young to realize that living an average life is comfortable, but now I understand that we still have a lot to achieve ahead.

Life has taught me to work on myself for my personal life experience and not to look up to someone, it is about my life because when I was at my lowest I didn’t have anyone to feed me, I stood myself even at my toughest times, it wasn’t easy but I took the risk to do it, not looking up to someone that also need help or advice. The truth is everyone needs and deserves a mentor, but, I just want to be very rich and be a mentor to so many people.
