Reflecting On User Manual

Honestly, I feel like a different person, I can boldly say I have never read any user manual before, and also any terms and conditions manual, except for looking at their beautiful diagrams. Instead, I ask Google or artificial intelligence AI for things I don't understand or find difficult to comprehend.

Manuals are meant to make the use of an item easy, especially a phone or computer. Although i have not really bought other gadget excpet for phone, laptop. The manual explains about the duration and use of battery and quality and resolution and other efficiency of the phone, or characteristics the phone may have, but the truth is that these are things we can check ourselves on the phone while operating it. Gadgets are one of the most useful things I find easy to operate, and if I get to see anything I don't understand, Google makes it easy for me to search better than using manuals because not all answers on operating a gadget correctly are in the manual.

The manual mainly explains the characteristics of the gadget and its function. Some / t also explains how to package the gadget, but this is not too common to me, maybe because I hardly read the gadget manual. Most times, when I look at a gadget manual, I just look at the beautiful pictures or diagrams in the manual instead of reading the full manual. My brother always enjoys reading the manual of a gadget, especially laptops, before using it to understand it better.

I hardly follow instructions. Instead, I love to create my own instructions and research my mistakes better than taking them. Maybe because I am a lazy reader, that is why I hardly read manuals. Instead, I just flip the book, but there is one certain thing that I enjoy looking at the manual pictures. These are unique diagrams and explanations, but when the contents get long, I just skip them, mainly just the pictures.

Sometimes i feel maybe because i havent bought something extremely expensive that is why i have not taken my time to read user manual, but the truth is, google made this generation and my life easy, if i was lost operating something i can easily ask google or watch youtube videos about it on the right way to do it, or i can even as AI chat gpt on what to do, because i also use chat gpt to decoding a wrong code or problems with programming languages.

I am not against people who read manuals, but I feel that's no use for this manual when there is Google or AI to ask questions about it. I feel a product should be intuitive and standard, and if there is any need for reading a product manual, I might consider it a failure, except I have no idea about the product because a product should be made easy to understand and operate and not complicated.

I actually enjoy reading manuals. I opt for them, when I get a new gadget. Well, everybody sure has their preferences. I like to read manuals, rather than leave it for Google to solve my problem. It's just something I find fun in doing

Google makes it easy to gain knowledge, even if you don't read the manual
