Is Diving into the world of cybersecurity a smart move for a tech career?

Lately, I have been on YouTube watching some tech career paths videos and how profitable they can be. I remember I tried delving into learning Data Science, but it was too broad for me to assimilate. I remember writing a full book just to learn the basics, which we were taught on the use of structured data, unstructured data, how to use bar charts, how to use pie charts, and other charts, on various statistics and algorithms usefulness. At first learning data science was interesting until it got so broad and I was lost in processes. I know data science plays a very important role in the tech world.

The first tech skill I learned was graphic designing, which I stopped immediately when I entered my university because my course was more focused on medicine and less on It. I also learned how to use Photoshop then and I was good, but I skipped this path for more than 7 years and now everything looks updated and confusing, but I still know my way around understanding Photoshop thanks to YouTube videos and tutorials.

Recently, after watching several videos on cyber security and its importance in the tech world, I find it more interesting to learn, and like my dad always speaks of the fact that “interest breeds focus and concentration” which means we need to see the values, and ones we love it we accept it and to learn it even though it might seem hard.

Cyber security simply means computer security, which centers around the practice of protecting systems, networks, software, apps, and other digital system from cyberattacks, and digital attacks. The major aim of cyber security is to monitor and protect computer systems from interrupting and breaches of sensitive information. This is one of the most important aspects of the tech world now.

Presently, people tend to upload their private and personal sensitive information online which can be misused when it is accessed by the wrong hands which is why we need cybersecurity to protect to walls of these devices, data, programs, or networks. There are several types of cyber security, we have application security, networking, cloud, internet, lot more. In these areas we need our personal data to be protected because sometimes people tend to breach this data to use it for scamming or blackmailing in order to earn for their greedy pockets.

We are getting into a modern world of technology, whereby every one of our data will be stored online both sensitive and insensitive data, this is one of the major reasons we will need active cybersecurity, to protect our information from unauthorized access.

The rate of Cybercrimes tends to increase everyday, which makes some people get into debt or financial problems all because their files were access by unauthorized cyber theft. We need to take notice of this actions and important we understand how useful this people will be in the society. This is why we need cybersecurity to help keep passwords safe, install protocols, and policy implementations

Now, would this be a good step up in the tech world ?, you can comment below

I think everything comes from people posting the private and sensitive information on the internet. Especially this generation. Imagine posting your credit card in the name of showing off….hehe
