From Crypto Newbie to Web3 Explorer: My First Steps into the Decentralized World
My first journey into Web3 started with buying and selling crypto for friends and everyone around me to hold. I was mainly centred on this, and I had little or no idea there was more to Web 3 during this time. I Learnt how to buy and sell coins and also predict the growth of these coins through YouTube videos and friends' observations. YouTube has really been a helpful tool in my growth.

It was my engagement on YouTube that I got to know about NFTs and testnets. I had little idea about these things, so I started researching on Google back then, and Google links redirected me to Twitter, where I got most of my answers. Etherium was the first coin that attracted me to the crypto space and also web3, although I had heard bad things about Bitcoin, but I thought of it as a scam back then, which I did not pay attention to later.
Etherium gave me my first $50 when it launched. All I did was do some tasks back then, which I can't really remember how they went. Later, I started researching other ways to earn more on crypto, and this was how my real journey into Web 3 started.

My first Web3 game was in Bling Games, sponsored by Coinbase. It was really an interesting game, and I was very happy to earn from it because when it came to a particular point, earning, I could then withdraw it. This was a good way to earn Bitcoin back then. The game was in three different types back then I am not sure about the present maybe there are more introduced now, We have the;
- Bitcoin pop,
- Bitcoin blocks
- Bitcoin food fight
This was the third I started with, although the earnings were slow, but I find it really interesting to engage with.
Later, I was fortunate to experience Hive through my friend, and honestly, Hive has really been a wonderful experience for me. I get to earn, make videos, and also comment. Hive is really interesting, and not just that, I get to share my thoughts and listen to people's opinions on what I should do and not do or if I am wrong or right. After I joined Hive, I got to know about other crypto programs and also different types of testnets through friends and people sharing their opinions on it.
I got to know about Telegram airdrop through a friend I met on Hive, which seems very interesting. These games are similar to Bling's games, where we get to engage in some task and earn points for engaging in this task or games. I spent most of my days and free hours playing these games because it was an interesting opportunity to earn more rewards, and I did not regret every bit of it.
This has helped me gain a deeper insight into the world of crypto and has made me see so much potential in crypto. I look forward to exploring more on the web3 channel and also assisting as much as I can with the web3 growth.
This is my participation in Sci-fi Multiverse weekly prompt, week 21

Yeah I vividly remember that year when nft actually came out and was trending. I was part of those that talk it down. Foolish me then but I will say it is because I didn't have the right knowledge I have about web3 now back then.
My first cashout from crypto was 5k then 😂😂, bro I was the happiest person on earth that day and I told myself if I can make 5k then I can make more and we are here today.
