At the moment time - Stroll through the beautiful ancient city of Asti, Italy.
Asti is a city in the Piemonte region of Italy, east of Turin. It is the capital of the province of Asti in the Montferrat department. It has an interesting history. In ancient and early Middle Ages, the area where the city is now Asti dates back to the Neolithic period before it was defeated by the Romans in 174 BC. The Ligures occupied the area and the name of the place is Ast, which means hill in ancient Celtic. In 124 BC, the Romans built a fortified military camp and developed it into a full-fledged city called Hasta. In 89 BC, the city was given the status of a Municipium and became an important city, connecting Tortona with Turin and with other roads connecting the main mountain passes of modern Switzerland and France.
If I were to tell the whole history, it would be very long, but let's take my friends to see the atmosphere around Asti at the present time, which is another interesting place on my trip. A few days ago, I traveled to this city. We parked the car and went for a walk around the city. Before that, we went to the market and then headed straight to this area.
The atmosphere that day was quite cold. We walked along the path. There were people walking around as well. Around the walkway, there were buildings that still retain their ancient charm. When we saw them, we couldn't help but take pictures. There are many interesting places in this city. They are connected to each other on the walkway. There is an ancient city wall on the north side of the city. It is a Roman building in the center of the city.
To the northwest of the mine, between the center of the city and the cathedral, there is a medieval palace and houses of shops. There is a memorial tower. The city is known for having more than a hundred waiting places. It is a beautiful place like being lost in that era. The buildings do not seem to have changed much. There are bars, shops that have changed with the times. There are various cafes and shops that are clearly visible before entering the center, which is the church.
We stopped by a bookstore. After standing and reading books for a while, we went out for a walk. The atmosphere that day was great. We enjoyed walking around the city. Every corner was beautiful. I like this kind of atmosphere. It doesn't look chaotic. Although there were some tourists, it wasn't too crowded, so we could still take pictures of the various places well.
We continued walking, taking photos, shooting videos, walking around the city, not stopping to look inside because it was late and we had to move on. Just this was enough to make us happy.
The moment at that time was very good. I like the atmosphere of a place that still has an ancient identity. It is charming, interesting, and I really like this moment. And I hope everyone likes my post. Whoever comes to visit Italy, this city should be another interesting choice. Thank you for following. Have it is a good time.
