Safeguarding Empathy 😔 Expressions in Professional Work for Family and Friends: A Worker's Day Reflection

Happy 2024th Workers Day Celebration. We really need this day off not to just celebrate our wins and triumphs as workers, but to also reflect on the virtues that impact our work-life. I have had the privilege of being a worker for a few years as a solo entrepreneur and a private employee. Within the years I serve as an employee, I worked for a family member and it was surprising to see that the output from the work and the rewards were different from when I served in same capacity for a non-family/friend employer.

That is, trust and familiarity often pave the way for seamless collaboration and understanding.
