The web2 is full of "experts" [PT/EN]

Browsing through some web2 forums and social media, I come across a lot of "experts of f*cking nothing". Dude, how can people who know so little about a subject be so convinced of what they are saying?
I may have some knowledge about something and can give my opinion on the topic being discussed, but I always feel insecure about what I say, even knowing that I often have a better understanding of the "said topic" than what I see in some conversations. So, for these reasons, and also because I am a bit introverted, I end up just reading and observing, without speaking up most of the time.
But today, I finally understood a bit about this phenomenon, where people with limited knowledge have a great need to express their "vast knowledge." While leisurely browsing a social network, I came across a post about the Dunning-Kruger Effect. I'm not sure if it relates to what I think (here I go again with my uncertainty), but after seeing how the graph works and how this phenomenon affects people, I believe this might be the explanation.
Well, the Dunning-Kruger effect is a psychological phenomenon in which people with limited abilities in a particular subject tend to overestimate their competence, while others who have more knowledge about the subject feel ignorant in the face of its complexity. It's like opposite sides of the same coin.
There is also a graph that illustrates the effect in a more didactic way:

Perhaps this graph is relatable to many people; it's a normal process when we encounter a subject. The problem is that many individuals prefer to remain at the first peak, not furthering their knowledge on the subject, and instead, they prefer to be the owners of reason, all-encompassing knowledge, and absolutes.
It is these individuals who remain at the first peak that we see in abundance on social media—people who become immersed in their world of "great knowledge" and often spread misinformation, hindering those who are in another part of the graph, seeking growth and progress.

Rightly said! Web2 isn't a safe place. Misinformation is a trend their and it seems no body is watching. Classic freedom of expression
Yes, my friend! Many times I get stressed about it when I'm browsing the web2. Thank you for commenting and sorry for the delay in responding :)
No problems friend. I'm still finding a place for myself around here. It feels good to read nice pieces here. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.
I saw that you posted a photo recently. Have you heard about Liketu? https://www.liketu.com/
Not yet. I'll look it up. Thanks.
But if there's a bit more insight on how to make the best of it. Would be appreciated while I go about on my personal exploration.
I also saw that you are from Nigeria. Do you participate in any groups on Discord from your country? Usually, such groups provide great support, with many people willing to help us get started. If you spoke Portuguese, you would be very welcome here in our Brazilian community.
Alright. I'm still exploring though. I've seen a Nigerian community, I'll look it up and dig further. Thanks.
The Nigerian community is very strong here on Hive; you should look for them. If you need any help, I'm here and willing to assist!
Thanks Bro (I guess 🤣!}

Besides, when I myself say to people that I am a crypto-professional I always say that I am the number 2 or 3 in the market, as there are already too many "number 1"
Thank you for the support! There are indeed many "number ones" out there, people who are constantly trying to promote themselves as the ultimate authorities on "knowledge"!
