Satellite Margot [EN/PT]

Margot is grounded. Not because she did anything wrong, but because she had surgery and it was necessary to put this cone on her so she wouldn’t compromise her recovery. It’s actually funny to watch her walking around the house with it, and it’s obvious how embarrassed she seems to be while wearing the cone.

Over the past week, I’ve been calling her an “ambulatory satellite ” Poor thing… it almost feels like she understands, and she gets really sad. It’s also funny when she tries to scratch the eye that was operated on: since she can’t reach it, she ends up scratching the cone itself. So we say she’s scratching it "wirelessly".

Anyway, on an ordinary afternoon, while I was sitting there pretending I was smoking (yeah, it’s been 13 days without smoking), I took these photos and laughed a lot. Every time I look at Margot, I tell her how funny she looks. She definitely doesn’t find it as funny as I do.

Margot está de castigo. Não porque aprontou algo, mas porque fez uma cirurgia e foi necessário colocar esse cone nela para que não comprometesse a recuperação. Chega a ser engraçado vê-la andando com isso pela casa, e é nítido como ela parece constrangida ao usar o cone.

Nesta última semana, eu a tenho chamado de “parabólica ambulante”. Coitada… parece até que ela entende e fica bem triste. Engraçado também é quando ela vai coçar o olho que passou pela cirurgia: como não consegue alcançar, ela acaba coçando o próprio cone. Então dizemos que ela está coçando por wireless.

Enfim, em uma tarde qualquer, enquanto eu estava sentado fingindo que estava fumando (é, já são 13 dias sem fumar), tirei essas fotos e ri bastante. Toda vez que olho para a Margot, digo o quanto ela está engraçada. Ela, com certeza, não deve achar a mesma graça que eu.
