If you snooze, you lose

Man, if you were to observe the tiny world that lives near you, you would realize the monstrosity, carnage and turmoil that exists there. Beasts with multiple legs, venom and pincers, just waiting for an opportunity, with their traps and tricks to catch anything that moves.
Of course, we don't observe this because it's irrelevant to us, animals so small that they hardly bother us. Every home has other homes, an almost alien population right under our noses and we don't even notice. Well, I notice, and whenever I'm in my backyard having a coffee, these mini-monstrosities appear.
Sometimes I just watch, and on other occasions, like this one, I take photos. It's a pity my cell phone camera isn't very good for this kind of thing, but I still managed to record this feat: a spider catching a meal almost the same size as itself. I think it will have food for a long time.
This is my entry for 📸 HiveBR Photo Contest #21 - Macro Photography
[PT]

Lol, this mini worlds are quite interesting to observe, especially from a non-judgemental point of view. Previously, I used to tell myself that the spider should have mercy on the ant :D, or worse, I help the ant to escape :(
That way, you end up destroying the mini ecosystem of the place! Haha.
