A feature test [EN/PT]

There are many ways to test our abilities. There are many ways to tell if we are good at something or not, and finally, there are ways to measure our skills simply by measuring the amount of resources for a given function. Honestly, I believe I work very well with average resources. I'm not the guy who is amazing with little or with a lot, and I always shy away from these two extremes. Maybe I'm just average, but in the literal sense, without being pejorative, and why would I do that? Anyway, I believe that there are people who deal differently according to the resources they have, and that's okay.

Some people have a great ability to deal with 30 million options and know exactly what the right option would be for a given situation. What are the best combinations when faced with so many, and creating an idea becomes easier with so many options, but you really have to be very good when you have many options without getting lost in a sea of choices. That doesn't mean that having many options makes things easier. However, there are people who cope very well with few resources, and I can say with certainty that having very few resources requires extreme creativity to make up for the lack. And finally, the easiest thing is when you have the middle ground, neither too much nor too little. You have many options, but not so many that you get confused, and not so few that you have to squeeze blood from a stone.

But lately, if you follow me here, you know that I sold most of my cards. Basically, all of them are gone, except for a few common ones. I still have the soulbond cards, many at a higher level, and that's it. However, I need to deal with this scarcity, and so far, it's been easy. I'm not having much trouble, as I'm still playing in the bronze league, where competitiveness is low. Perhaps the real challenge lies in the silver league or above, but I'm in no hurry to get there. The big question here is how, sometimes, when dealing with few resources and in less competitive leagues, things need to be done the right way, without anything fancy, but with choices made in the best way possible.

Today I stepped out of my comfort zone, which wasn't really a comfort zone anymore, but I put aside my favorite element, Life, to play a little with another favorite element, Water, but without the monsters I liked to use so much. Anyway, this battle serves not as a strategic learning experience, that was put aside today, but rather as a reflection. Would you be a good player if your powerful cards were taken away and you had to play with basic cards again? So let's see how this battle went.

Some points to mention about this battle:

Unlike other battles, in the bronze league there are almost no element restrictions, which is somewhat beneficial for those with limited resources. But then we have the restriction in this battle, which in a way forces me to choose an element that I'm not so adept at, but I still do it by choice. We have no rules here, and the mana amount is only 26.

My opponent's tank choice was good; this monster has absolute power, good defense, and even causes damage to attackers with its spikes. I choose a modest, low-cost tank, and that was my strategy for this part of the battlefield: “mini tanks” for the duration of the battle.

For the back row, nothing too strategic. I placed the next two monsters as my next tanks and later added monsters that could cause damage. This is a shameful strategy; in fact, there is no real strategy here, just logic and positioning, but you know what? I won.

It wasn't anything incredible, it wasn't anything spectacular, but the goal of winning was achieved.

Sometimes I think about this kind of battle and how it fulfills something, in such a horrible way, considering that I often devised awesome, well-thought-out strategies, strategies that required me to rent other cards to complement them, and in the end, sometimes I lost... Of course, these are just comparisons for the purpose of reflection, so think about it. See you next time!

Existem muitas maneiras de testar nossas capacidades. Existem muitas maneiras de dizer se somos bons em algo ou não e, por fim, existem maneiras de medir nossas competências simplesmente medindo a quantidade de recursos para determinada função. Sinceramente, acredito que funciono muito bem com recursos medianos. Não sou o cara que é incrível com pouca coisa ou com muitas coisas e sempre fujo desses dois extremos. Talvez eu apenas seja mediano, mas no sentido literal, sem ser pejorativo, e por que eu faria isso? Enfim, acredito que existem pessoas que lidam de forma diferente de acordo com os recursos que possuem e tudo bem.

Algumas pessoas possuem uma grande capacidade de lidar com 30 milhões de opções e saber exatamente qual seria a opção certa para determinada situação. Quais são as melhores combinações diante de tantas e criar uma ideia fica mais fácil com tanta opção, mas é preciso realmente ser muito bom quando se tem muitas opções sem ficar perdido em um mar de escolhas. Isso não quer dizer que ter muitas opções deixa as coisas mais fáceis. Porém, há pessoas que lidam muito bem com poucos recursos e posso dizer com certeza que ter muito pouco recurso exige uma criatividade extrema para suprir a falta. E, por fim, o mais fácil é quando se tem o médio, nem muito nem pouco. Você tem muitas opções, mas não tantas para se confundir e nem poucas para ter que tirar leite de pedra.

Mas ultimamente, se você me acompanha aqui sabe que eu vendi boa parte das minhas cartas. Basicamente todas já foram embora, com exceção de algumas de raridade comum. Ainda tenho as cartas soulbond, muitas em um nível mais alto, e é isso. Porém preciso lidar com essa escassez e, até então, está sendo fácil. Não estou tendo muitas dificuldades, pois ainda estou jogando na liga bronze e por lá a competitividade é baixa e talvez o verdadeiro desafio esteja ali na liga prata ou acima, mas não estou com pressa de chegar lá. A grande questão aqui é como, às vezes, lidando com poucos recursos e em ligas de menor competitividade, as coisas precisam ser feitas da forma certa, sem nada mirabolante, mas com escolhas feitas da melhor maneira.

Hoje eu saí da minha zona de conforto, que já não era bem uma zona de conforto, mas deixei de lado um pouco o meu elemento favorito, o Life, para jogar um pouco com outro elemento favorito, o Água, mas sem os monstros que eu gostava tanto de usar. Enfim, essa batalha serve não como aprendizado estratégico, isso foi deixado de lado hoje, mas sim como uma reflexão. Será que você seria um bom jogador se tirassem suas cartas poderosas e você precisasse jogar com cartas básicas novamente? Então vamos ver como foi essa batalha.

Alguns pontos a serem mencionados sobre essa batalha:

Diferente de outras batalhas, na liga bronze a limitação de elementos quase não existe e isso é de certa forma um benefício para quem possui poucos recursos. Mas então temos aqui nessa batalha a limitação, que de certa forma me obriga a escolher talvez um elemento que não estou tão adepto, mas ainda sim faço por escolha. Não temos regras aqui e quantidade de mana é apenas 26.

A escolha de tank do meu adversário foi boa, esse monstro tem um poder absoluto, boa defesa e ainda causa danos por espinhos nos atacantes. Eu escolho um tank modesto, de baixo custo e essa foi a minha estratégia para essa parte do campo de batalha: " mini tanks" para o decorrer da batalha.

Para a linha de trás, nada muito estratégico. Eu coloquei os dois monstros subsequentes como meus próximos tanks e adicionei posteriormente monstros que pudesse causar dano. Essa é uma estratégia vergonhoso, na verdade nem existe estratégia real aqui, é apenas lógica e posicionamento, mas quer saber? Eu venci.

Não foi nada incrível, não foi anda mirabolante, mas o objetivo de vencer foi cumprido.

As vezes eu penso nesse tipo de batalha e como ela cumpre com algo, de forma tão horrível sendo que muitas vezes eu elaborei estratégias fodas, bem pensadas, estratégias que precisava alugar outras cartas para complementar e em fim, as vezes eu e perdia... Claro, são comparativos apenas com o objetivo de reflexão, então pensa ai. Até a próxima!
