We live to die. This is an inevitable fact in this world. We have no continuing home here as God has told us in the Bible through the epistles of Apostle Paul. At the present, everyone living will die one day. There is no continuing home in this world. Everything that we see here shall dissolve one day. This mortal life shall be gone. There is no gain saying that. When we get this understanding in us, we should live our lives with accountability.

The lessons from death is that we shall look live accountably. We should not forget that the life which we are living, we will account for it. In every place that we see ourselves, we should know that whatever that we are doing, we shall account for it. The way we are serving God, we will also account for it.

Another lesson which we can derive from death is that the life which we are living is not our own. We cannot take control of it. Those who have died today did not know that they will die today. Those who will die tomorrow do not know that death will meet them that day. So, none of us have the decision to make when death will come. God owns our lives. He is the one who decides when each of us will die.

Death also tells us that we have an appointment to keep. It will be foolish for someone who has an appointment to live carelessly. Knowing that we have this appointment to keep, we should follow the teachings of God.
