The Image Of God. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW
The God who created us is a spirit. He exists has a spirit. But God is not limited. God can be whoever he chooses to be at any time. He created all the different kinds of bodies that exist. He created the animals in all their various forms and shapes. So, God has no limitations on what kind of nature he could be or not. But the Bible says that God is a spirit. He made for us human bodies but he himself does not work like humans.
The image of God which we possess is not about our physical body. We are not like God in our physical appearance. It is not that God has two hands or one head. No, it is not about the physical appearance. The nature of God in us means more than this.
Since God is a spirit, we equally have spirit. That is why man possesses a spirit. It is the spirit in man that will make him to live forever. The soul of man is eternal. This is why we must live according to the commandments of God so that we will live in his kingdom. Those who would not live where God is shall spend their eternity in hell fire.
