Studying The Bible. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW
Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The Lord Jesus Christ taught us to teach others to observe all those things which he has commanded us. We are under obligation to keep His commandments and to teach others to do the same. So, for us to understand the commandments and be able to do them ourselves, we must study them regularly. We must read the Bible everyday and always as we have the opportunity. We must understand what the commandments of God are. We must know these teachings of the doctrines so that we can teach others about them.
Psalms 1:2-3 (KJV) But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
The Word of God is our life. Our success and prosperity are dependent on our ability to understand it. We should study and meditate on it day and night. God commanded Joshua to do the same. He also tells us in the Psalms that we should delight in His Word and meditate on it day and night. So, we should read the Bible. We must study the Word of God always.
Joshua 1:8 (KJV) This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Studying the Bible is everyday duty
Our success and prosperity are dependent on our ability to study the bible and apply it in our lives.
